Through the grace of my Guru, Bhagavan Das, my Paramaguru, Neem Karoli Baba, and all Gurus (for they are the source of attainments) I have received an inheritance of instruction and procedures for liberation. It is my hope to share these gifts of interactive devotional chanting, as well as other proven methods for forwarding our evolution, with as many people and through as many different media channels as possible.
As spiritual development occurs, we become more like the Ideals (Images of Perfection) to which we aspire. This is expressed concretely in terms of more accurate self-knowledge, increased empathy (care for, and identification with, others), greater equanimity ("balance" in the face of life's challenges), improved mental clarity and focus, and elevated, more stable emotions.
The concepts and skills that I endeavor to share are assembled from across the world's Wisdom Traditions. They are specifically designed to address our human urge for lasting happiness. That these spiritual technologies, drawn from diverse cultures, have endured over vast periods of time is a testament to their validity.
Music
My central musical interest is in those forms used in support of devotional chanting--whether Hindustani (North Indian) or Karnatic (South Indian) Sangeet, Tibetan plain chant and throat singing, Qawaali (Sufi Muslim), even Gregorian Christian chant.
Books
Here are a handful of books that have been crucial in my spiritual journey. There have been hundreds more, but these were particularly significant for me at crucial points in my history:
Bucke, Richard Maurice. (1901). _Cosmic Consciousness._
Das, Bhagavan (ne Kermit Michael Riggs). (1997). _It's Still Here (Are You?)._
Dass, Ram (ne Richard Alpert). (1971). _Be Here Now._
I am in love with the Supreme (by whatever Name, in whatever Form), especially those conduits of Divine Love in my daily life: my wife, Jaishree, and sons, Tristan Emerson, Bodhi Shankara, and Maitreya Aumkara.
Jai Ma! Love to you, Jaisree and the little ones(i was there when you two first met you know... i got to see the stars in your eyes first hand) didnt know you were in NC going to see Baba there next month will you be there? Jai Sri Sri Sri Guru Baba Bhagavan Das ki Jai!
