About One To One Yoga

Experience yoga as you relax and melt away while toning your body and increasing its flexibility! Instructors guide you through delicious outdoor yoga practices. We are in the park on docks over the water. An idyllic setting for yoga! Join us for a class!

Outdoor Yoga! By donation!

Join us weather permitting*!

Weekdays from 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Weekends from 11:00am - 12:00pm

We practice in the new park across from Town Lake. We are on the docks overlooking the pond and near the bathrooms. It is an idyllic setting for yoga! There is parking off Riverside near S. Lamar or behind the Dougherty Arts Center at Barton Springs and Dawson (S. 5th).

Please bring a yoga mat (or something to lay on) and whatever you can donate. For day classes WEAR SUNSCREEN and bring water. We practice in full sun, there is no shade.

10% of all donations to go KIVA.org as a micro loan. See the above blog entry to see who we have lent money to. As a community, through yoga and your donations we are changing lives! Your donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Wednesdays are guest instrutor days. Different instructors from around Austin will lead class. If you are a yoga instructor and would like to lead a class email Sonia at OneToOneYoga@gmail.com

My name is Sonia. I have been doing yoga my whole life. My mother has aways practiced yoga and my aunt is a yoga instructor. In addition to studying yoga, I have an extensive back ground in martial arts and hold a black belt in Shotokan Karate from Sensei Mori of JKA NYC.

I am passionate about doing yoga outdoors and making yoga accessible to everyone. I offer classes in the outdoors and by donation. I also help organize Austin's Free Day of Yoga held each year on labor day.

I have found that doing yoga in nature makes it that much more renewing and relaxing. I find that people are able to better able to release and let go in the nurturing outdoors. Nature is non-threatening and fully embracing. Doing yoga in such an environment supports people in their conscious or unconscious healing process. It is truly a beautiful experience.

Outdoor classes are held daily and weather permitting in the park on docks that over look the water. There is the touch of the sun and the wind. There are the sounds of the water, kids playing in the fountain, and the other city noises such as the trains and people talking. It is an idyllic setting for yoga!

I offer classes by donation. Offering classes by donation is truly a beautiful exchange. Everyone is given access and no one is excluded. People give what they can.

Additionally, as a yoga community we are helping others. 10% of each donation goes into a fund that is offered as a micro loan via www.kiva.org. KIVA is an organization that facilitates micro lending. Micro loans help individuals in the developing world with their businesses enabling them to make strides towards economic independence for themselves and their communities. Affordable Yoga - $6.00 per class!

Every Wednesday from 8pm - 9pm at the South Austin Recreation Center located at 1100 Cumberland Rd. (and S. 5th St). Please bring a yoga mat (or something to lay on) and $6.00 in exact change.

Private sessions are available upon requests.
