Ours To Destroy Live at Broken City
Featuring interviews & live concert footage from our gig in December 2007 at Broken City Calgary.

Ours To Destroy's anarchist folk abstract is a unique juxtaposition of introspective folk with more aggressive experimental rock and melodic pop.

REVIEWS

Indie-Music.com:
"...a slow-cooked collection of divergent herbs and spices, drawing inspiration from Lou Reed, Wilco, Johnny Cash, and The Pixies."

The Brock Press:
"...seemed to challenge all genres at once, mixing a distinctive type of heavier folk rock with a hint of almost electronic-style pop."

Reviewer Magazine:
"OTD is a kind of neo-psychedelic rock band, with a certain quirkiness that recalls Guided by Voices, but they have gone their own way and followed their own muse and that is usually what brings out the best in people, this being no exception."

ABOUT THE ALBUM

Their first self-titled CD was released January 2006 and can be purchased at CD Baby.

Visit Ours To Destroy's website to listen to album tracks, watch their videos, and generally have a good time.

I feel like I'm stuck forever in a tiny little can, just like the Alien Man. Is there a Myspace mood thingee for that?

That song is awesome, by the way. It sounds both tight and like it might explode at any moment. Can't wait to hear what else you guys come up with.

Happy Holidays to all in the Ours to Destroy family as well (plus assorted dogs, cats, and, of course, herps!)

I just realized the comment about dynamite (below) might bring my gov't down on me... well, bring em on!

New recording gear is going good, though still have much to figure out (new piece on my site called "Secret Agents" is kinda interesting, to me anyway).

Can't send new computer, but may be able to swing dynamite for the old one.

Took a listen to the new stuff on your "secret" fan page, and I'm really diggin' it. It's more of the great, disturbed folk rock. You guys are so damn creative. Nice Stuff!
