The hands of time cannot erase
The thoughts of you and your embrace
The longing for a single kiss
Your touch, your voice, I always miss
The hands of time, like the rolling sea
Cannot wash away what you mean to me
My Heart, My Soul, I'll give to you
The greatest Love I ever knew
The hands of time, that past so fast
My Love for you will always last
To be together, is on my mind
This special love, is one of a kind
The hands of time, We cannot turn back
But Love and Devotion, you will never lack
I vow to you, You will always be
The only Man in my life for me
The hands of time, will stop one day
But there is one thing to you, I'll say
If I should go before you do
I'll be there waiting, for only you.

Beautiful

What do you get when you combine the 80s coolest starlet with Michael Jacksons best song? Funny you should ask. I have your answer right here...

Tears roll down my face,
As I cut myself,
To release the pain.
It hurts so much,
But feels so good.
The pain is draining from me,
In drops of blood.
As I watch my pain leave from me,
I think,
"How can this be,
That I have so much pain
When I'm only merely 16?".
Then I remember the past that I've had,
Memories of yelling,
slamming doors,
all the awful scars.
I've cried too much,
I've hated so many,
That I don't think people will ever get me.
I come back from my world of thoughts
And realize that I've bled too much,
It's all over the counter,
It's becoming messy,
But I don't care.
I just want this pain out of me.
I'm starting to think that I can't go on,
That maybe I should cut deeper
Till there is no more pain or blood,
But then I remember,
That I may have a future.
I'll just have to wait out this pain
And let the blood dry up.

If you like Rushkoff's "Life Inc." then you'll love Adam Curtis' film "Century of Self," available for free viewing on youtube and google video.

I don't think I could talk this film up enough... ever wonder why the 60's counterculture fizzled away into self-absorbed yuppies? Or why 20th century American culture is so materialistic in general? Or why everyone voted for and loved Ronald Reagan despite his criminal behavior and voodoo economics?

Check it out! =)

Lay beside me
   Yes,     right here
Now,   come near
                  And warm me dear
Please,           keep out my nightmares
Fight them away
         Make it okay
As beside me you lay
Your breathing is so even
                   You fell asleep beside me
       Thanks,        for being here
For being here to guide me
I know you're not mine
          But,      you're still here
     Here as my friend
   Here to be kind
Thank you,    it's all I can give in return
For the lesson you've helped me learn
So,     I'll go to sleep now beside you
And,          when I wake up I'll find you
        I'll make it through
     With you here too

          Goodbye now
                        nightmares
     Cause with you I can
                            only have dreams

you running your fingers throuh my hair
hearing your heart beat so close to mine
and your chest rising and falling beneath my head
your lost in your own dreams , i gaurd your slumber
your warm and heavy arms keep me safe
safe from nightmares , being alone , going home
i never want to leave this moment
when we are closest
you tell me things never heard by anyone else
" i love you more than anything"
I have to leave your side
i have to go back home and dream
of you and me together again
i look at the pictures of us
i smile , i cry and i wonder ...
"do you think of me like i do of you?"
i could create a liberary
from all of the poetry
i could fill an art gallery
with all of the pictures
but you've already filled my heart
with all the love i'll ever need
" i love you more than anything"

Why do you cry oh beautiful angel?
Why do you cry my love?
Why do those tears bless your cheeks?
Your sobs are heard from up above
Why do you mourn the passing of man?
The sinners and saviors alike
Why do you cry my beautiful angel?
Is it because this world is falling to night?

Why do you hurt so badly my love?
Why does your heart beat so broken?
Why do you cry my beautiful angel?
Why do your wings seem so broken?
You can't seem to fly
So here you sit, here you cry
Why my angel, why?
Why does your halo no longer shine?
Why has it lost its luster like mine?

Why do you mourn my beautiful angel?
Why are you so torn my lovely savior?
You should be singing your beautiful song?
Lifting the spirits of man ever on
You should be smiling and passing your good
There are so many things to do that you should
But here you sit, here you cry
Again I ask my angel, why?
Why do you mourn my beautiful angel?
Why do you my angel cry?

Beautiful
