Influences
All the band love 60's Chicago Blues, some Paul Butterfield, some Howlin' Wolf, some Hendrix, some Stevie Ray, all sorts of good time upbeat party Blues!
Julian, our superstar Bass player loves to play with his influences highly evident, Victor Wooton, Jaco Pastorius, Mark King. Not your regular blues styles but this gives us a funky upbeat groove that keeps the feet and hips moving.
Chris is without doubt one of the best Blus axemen to ever emerge from the North of England, if not the entire UK. he keeps faithful to the Blues Genre, never falling in to the trap most blues guitarists fall in to and start following the rock route.
Luke is a dynamite singer and frontman, he is just so much fun on stage, both for the audiences but also the band themselves. Then he blows his harp and all hell lets loose. He is better than any other harmonica player on the circuit, by a very long way. You need to look at some very high profile and well known American harp players to find someone better.
Then there is Rick Lacey. He is widely regarded as the North West's finest Blues drummers and if that is the case, he must therefore be one of the best in the country. He is in demand as a session drummer and plays with visiting American Blues artists. Rick loves his blues, he writes for Bluematters magazine as well and has a huge collection of Blues CD's.
