PETIT BIO: PETIT MORT is a power trío from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The band was born in 2007 with influences from 90s Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, PJ Harvey, Melvins, Mars Volta, John Frusciante, Arctic Monckeys, Incubus, Foo Fighters, and others.
In April of the same year, PETIT MORT debuted in the cultural bar “Viejo Varieté” of La Plata city in Buenos Aires, followed by a long list of concerts and festivals in different parts of Capital Federal. In September they traveled to the province of Chubut, in the Patagonia Argentina to make performances in Puerto Madryn and Trelew city . The band finished the year with a show on the Old Continent in Waterhole, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
During 2008 participated in the “Ciclodelico festival” (www.myspace.com / ciclodelico) where played with argentinian stonner bands in importants sites of Buenos Aires.
In February 2009 traveled again to the south of Argentina, in the ANDES MOUNTAINS TOUR. First they went to the province of Río Negro, and played in El Bolson town and in Bariloche city in the well known night club The Roxy. They crossed the mountains to make a show in Puerto Montt city, in Chile.
PETIT MORT was invited to participate in "Bienvenidos al mundo de los conflictuaditos", an album tribute to the important argentinian skater punk band called MASSACRE, with the theme "Armas" which was recorded on 6.2.2009 in the studio BIG SUR in Bariloche city, in the middle of the tour, with the technician Fabian Carabajal. By mid-year the band began recording their first EP by the hand of the producer Alan Senderowitsch (www.myspace.com /alansende), that was released in early April 2010. The EP present particulars stonner and grunge sounds, with pop melodies. The band recorded four songs in english as “ Ticket”, “Paper film”, “Eb”, one song in spanish called “La Bala”, and the bonus song in acustic format: “Shave”. During January and February PETIT MORT has been performing again in southern Argentina, in the ANDES MOUNTAINS TOUR 2010, playing in El Bolson, Lago Puelo, Epuyén (”Epuyén Music Festival 2010”) and Bariloche (“The Roxy”).
During the months of April, May and June 2010 was the presentation of the EP in the second european tour, with more than 20 gigs in diferents locations and festivals of Netherlands ( Den Helder, Den Haag, Delft, Amsterdam ) and Germany ( Berlin, Dortmund, Kamp Lintfort). They started the tour playing in the old renowed festival of Den Helder "Crossover Royal" in DEBLIKSEM, and make their last gig in the important festival of Delft: Wolpop. PETIT MORT recorded two times during this tour. One with 3 songs in Den Helder, for a grunge cd with songs of two others renowed bands from the city: ENCIRCLE and LETS BUILD AN EMPIRE. The other one "Spit In" , with 7 songs in the city of Geldern, Germany (www.benthus.de), was mixed during july and agost of 2010 and produced by Olaf Zwar with 1000 copies.
During EUROPEAN TOUR 2011 (may, june, july, august), PETIT MORT did the presentation of Spit In with 40 shows in England, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany ( Cities where they played: (BLACKPOOL, LONDON, DEN HELDER, LELYSTAD, AMSTERDAM, EERNEGEM, TORHOUT, CAUTERETS, REGINIER, TOULOUSE, BASEL, NYON, VEVEY, USTER, SAINT GALLEN, NURTINGEM, OSTFILDERN, ZWEIBRUEKEN, BERLIN, HAMBURG, KIEL, DORTMUND, MILTEMBERG, DARMSTADT, FRANKFURT AM MAIN, MAINZ, LEIPZIG, CHEMNITZ, MUNICH, AALEN, KOLN). At the end of the tour, the group recorded in Gelden Germany, in Benthus Musikproduction Studio one more time, 3 new songs in english " I´m Shooting " , " Bugs" and " Extrangers". BIOGRAFIA PETIT MORT
PETIT MORT es un power trío de Buenos Aires Argentina. La banda nació en 2007 bajo las influencias musicales de los ..90: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, PJ Harvey, Melvins, Mars Volta, John Frusciante, Arctic Monkeys, Incubus, Foo Fighters entre muchos otros.
En abril del mismo año, PETIT MORT debutó en el bar cultural “Viejo Varieté” de la ciudad de La Plata, Buenos Aires, seguido de una larga lista de recitales y festivales en diferentes partes de Capital Federal. En Septiembre viajaron a la provincia de Chubut, en el contexto de PATAGONIA TOUR 2007 con shows en la ciudad de Puerto Madryn y Trelew. La banda finalizó el año con una gira al viejo continente, EUROPEAN TOUR 2007, con un show en Waterhole, Amsterdam, Holanda.
Durante el 2008 participaron del “Ciclodélico” ( www.myspace.com/ciclodelico ) donde compartieron escenario con conocidas bandas de stonner, metal, grunge, en distintos lugares de Capital Federal.
En febrero de 2009 volvieron al sur de Argentina en el marco de la gira CORDILLERA TOUR 2009. Pasando por la provincia de Río Negro, donde tocaron en las ciudades de El Bolsón y Bariloche, en el reconocido club The Roxy, y cruzaron las montañas para hacer un show en la ciudad de Puerto Montt, Chile.
PETIT MORT fue invitado a participar del álbum “Bienvenidos al mundo de los conflictuaditos”, homenaje a la conocida banda Argentina Massacre , con el tema “Armas” el cual fue grabado en medio de la gira el 6.2.2009 en el estudio BIG SUR de la ciudad de Bariloche, bajo las manos del técnico Fabián Carabajal ( www.myspace.com / bienvenidoalmundodelosconflictuaditos) .
Para mitad de año la banda comenzó a grabar junto al productor Alan Senderowitsch (www.myspace.com/alansende) su primer EP , el cual fue finalizado en Abril de 2010. El EP presenta particulares sonidos del stonner y del grunge con melodías del pop. La banda grabó cuatro canciones en inglés : “Ticket”, “Waterfalls”, “Papel film” y una en castellano “La bala”.
Durante enero y febrero de 2010, PETIT MORT estuvo realizando la presentación de sus canciones recién grabadas, nuevamente en el sur argentino, en la gira CORDILLERA TOUR 2010, con una larga lista de shows en El Bolsón, Lago Puelo, Epuyén , Bariloche.
Durante los meses de Abril, Mayo y Junio presentaron su primer EP en su segunda visita al viejo continente, en la gira EUROPEAN TOUR 2010 con más de 20 shows, en diferentes locaciones y festivales de Holanda ( Den Helder, Den Haag, Delft, Amsterdam) y Alemania ( Berlin, Dortmund, Kamp Lintfort).
Comenzaron la gira tocando en el reconocido festival de todos los años, en la ciudad de Den Helder, el “Crossover Royal” en De Bliksem, y realizaron su último recital, como despedida de la gira, en el importante” Wolpop Festival” de la ciudad de Delft.
Durante la EUROPEAN TOUR 2010, PETIT MORT entró al estudio en dos circunstancias. La primera, en la ciudad de Den Helder, donde fue invitado a participar de un disco stonner con tres canciones “Wake up”, “Is Not” y “Marshmellow” junto a dos reconocidas bandas locales: ENCIRCLE y LETS BUILD AN EMPIRE. La segunda, con la realización de " Spit In", un disco producido con mil copias de la mano del productor aleman Olaf Zwar, en Geldern, ciudad del oeste de Alemania, el cual fue grabado, mezclado y masterizado durante julio y agosto 2010 en Benthus Musikproduction Studio. Spit in fue presentado durante la exitosa EUROPEAN TOUR 2011 ( mayo, junio, julio y agosto) con 40 shows en distintas ciudades de Inglaterra, Holanda, Belgica, Francia, Suiza y Alemania. (Las ciudades donde se han presentado: BLACKPOOL, LONDON, DEN HELDER, LELYSTAD, AMSTERDAM, EERNEGEM, TORHOUT, CAUTERETS, REGINIER, TOULOUSE, BASEL, NYON, VEVEY, USTER, SAINT GALLEN, NURTINGEM, OSTFILDERN, ZWEIBRUEKEN, BERLIN, HAMBURG, KIEL, DORTMUND, MILTEMBERG, DARMSTADT, FRANKFURT AM MAIN, MAINZ, LEIPZIG, CHEMNITZ, MUNICH, AALEN, KOLN. En los ultimos días de la gira, PETIT MORT decidió volver a Geldern, Alemania para grabar nuevamente en Benthus Musikproduction Studio , 3 nuevas canciones cantadas en ingles: "I´m Shooting", "Bugs" y "Extrangers". Las mismas serán mezcladas y masterizadas en agosto y septiembre 2011.
