Poison Dart sound was formed in the early 90’s by six of Antigua’s top sound men, Morlon “Scrobo” James, Doyle “ Capelton” George, Daren “Zugu” Andrew, Justin “GQ” Williams, Greg “Joe Bob” Ramsey and Junior “Small Boy” Hughes. With there collection of records and knowledge of reggae music, Poison Dart became one of Antigua’s top juggling sound and war machine. We have entered numerous amounts of clashes, and juggling dances around the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. Poison Dart was picked amongst the best in Antigua to represent our Island in World Clash 2001, held in NYC and Antigua, against well known and respected sounds in the business. Later on that year we entered in another big clash held in New Jersey, that sound clash featured reggae super star and Dancehall Icon William A. Mirage better known as Super Cat. He made positive remarks towards the sound, giving Poison Dart encouragement and an extra boost to strive for excellence. In 1997 Poison Dart welcomed four young members Deion “Frisco” George, new and promising MC, alongside Stephen “Mental” Richards, Okang “Unchie” Lindsey and Neil “Buggy” Charles. As Youths growing up we had dreams of becoming top entertainers, Frisco had hands on experience playing music, because he is the brother of Capelton the selector of Poison Dart. Okang “Unchie” Lindsey also had experience playing sound, he owned and played a sound by the name of Hitler, but being in the same village as poison dart, he decided to put his records and ideas to help Poison Dart to become a force to reckon with. Stephen “Mental” Richards also a great lover of reggae music had a wide variety of dancehall and clash cassettes, with his listening ears and style of creating Dub special, it was indeed an added asset to become a member of Poison Dart. With that being said we have clashed against the best in the world namely, Mighty Crown, Black Kat, Killamanjaro, King Addies, King Tubby’s Bass Oddyssey, Tony Matterhorn, Blunt Posse, Earth Ruler, Ricky Trooper, Stone Wall, Fire Links just to name a few. Over the years, we have grown to be known in the sound industry as “dem boy from Antigua”…Poison dart will indeed continue to represent Antigua every time!!! Poison Dart, Antigua’s legend
