   About HTTP://WWW.PROPHETIX.NET
Eddie Meeks "After This...I'll Holla" in stores now on Asylum Ent/Domination Recordings! Get it at www.prophetix.net and get some free goodies with your order.

If you didn't already know, peep Eddie Meeks in the newest issue of XXL!! "After This I'll Holla IN STORES Prophetix represents the combined forces of lyricists Eddie Meeks, Mello Melanin and DJ/Producer Jon Doe. Quite possibly one of the most seasoned and anticipated independent acts of it's time, Soren Baker of The L.A. Times has described their work as "original music with substance and style".

The self-proclaimed 'Bigguns' Meeks and Mello met as college freshmen at Southern Tech in Marietta, GA and their natural compatibility has put them on a grind for destiny ever since. Jon Doe ran into the two while he was a college radio DJ at Western Kentucky University. Shortly after graduation and a brief stay in Nashville to rock at Vanderbilt radio for one semester, he moved to Atlanta and linked up with Meeks and Mello. Prophetix as we know it was born.

The group has a unique recipe for chemistry based on a little telepathy, a dash of fun, a good deal of energy and creativity, and ridiculous amounts of business sense. They've expressed this through being independent with their own company, Asylum Entertainment, since 1997.They've mastered bangin out performance venues with turntables and mics, and have further expanded their sonic plunder to include live bands. Together the trio has released several independent records, including:

"Larger Than Life" b/w "Gunclappin'"

The Larger Than Life EP

Da Unfold

"True Urban Grit (T.U.G.)" 12"

High Risk LP

"Bigguns"/"Sumpthin's Gotta Give" (prod. MF Doom)/"Shatter"

"True Urban Grit" 12' shot to Number 1 on the Joint One radio show in the Fall of 2001 and the single "Bigguns" was a repeat performance on the charts in the Summer of 2003. The crew doesn't run short on outstanding accomplishments, including a HOT remix on the world famous Beastie Boys Anthology DVD, performances at the legendary Apollo in Harlem USA, and rockin' the house with the Grammy award winning Hip-Hop band, The Roots. They've rocked with everyone from Platinum-selling acts such as JT Money and the Poison Clan to underground stars Speech, 4th Avenue Jones, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Slum Village, Binary Star, Unspoken Heard, De La Soul, Camp Lo, Peanut Butter Wolf, Lootpack, 7L and Esoteric, Mr. Dibbs, Count Bass D, and Scienz of Life. Prophetix has even toured with hip-hop impresario KRS-One in spring of 2003.

The originality and creative energy of the Prophetix formula earned them a featured spot in several College Music Journal showcases including the CMJ Music fest 2000 in New York City. The independently released EP 'Da Unfold' and LP 'High Risk' received rave reviews from industry peers and landed on several music charts across the world including the world's most prestigious record pool, The Heavyweights.

Currently the trio is hard at work on several projects, including the Eddie Meeks solo LP, "After This...I'll Holla", a new Prophetix album and Jon Doe's follow up to "Meet Jon Doe". A collaboration with artists overseas are in the works as well, so expect a large worldwide presence on the release schedule for these guys in 2005-2006.

Striving to survive in this business of music, these three will do whatever it takes to make it known that they are here to stay.

!!!GOTCHA!!!
