In the year of our Lord 2004, a band by the name of Disciple began to play shows around the Twin Cities area. The brainchild of Guitarist/Vocalist Ted Peltier, his brother PJ (Drums), and Nick Vetter, Disciple wished to bring a fresh sound to the scene. By combining the ferociousness of thrash metal with the catchy riff oriented nature of power metal, they succeeded.
After countless shows and names changes (Purgatory, Dies Irae) they decided to take some time off to write more material and record their first demo. During this time they met a guitarist by the name of Joey Jagoe (formerly of Lack of Interest) who seemed to fit the fold quite well. After some deliberation the band admitted Joey into their band as their new bass player.
With the lineup now set, SINIS was ready to unleash their first demo to be entitled "The Battle Rages On..." the year was 2006. From a friend of the band they heard about a small recording studio called Below Ground Sound. When they arrived weeks later to record they met their producer Rod Bell and knew they had come to the right place. A week later, SINIS emerged from the studio with "The Battle Rages On..." featuring classics such as "The Hour's Nigh," "The Rapture," and "Fear of the Scythe," SINIS was ready to take the Minnesota Metal Scene by storm.
A year later they would find themselves beginning to make a name for themselves by distinguishing their band in the muddled up Minnesota Metal scene becoming known for their lightning fast fretwork, their vigorous riffs, and humable double leads. This year would also mark the three year aniversary of the band and would find them the veterans of such shows as the Minnesota Metalfest, the St. Cloud Metalfest, the Suburban Death Bonanza and many more. It also saw them share the stage with such bands as Kataklysm, Vader, Destruction, The Absence, Graveworm, The Mentors, Nile, and grind legends Anal Blast in addition to hundreds of other fantastic local acts.
Having been writing and testing their new material all the while, SINIS decided to embark on a new adventure and record their first full length album. Once again they teamed up with Rod Bell at Below Ground Sound and put together a fantastic collection of songs including new tracks such as "Heavy Metal Holocaust," "Riter Odinsson," and the album's namesake "Infernal Dominion."
After a short experiment with a two vocal set up, featuring friend Jeff Riter "Odinsson," and a few debates over the musical direction of the band, SINIS decided to mutually part ways with one of the founding members, Nick Vetter (current Synthetic Almighty Bassist) who remains a close friend to this day.
After a long and arduous search, SINIS decided upon a replacement, none other than long time friend Aaron "Anders" Lott (Enshrined, Oaken, Synthetic Almighty). With their new line up now in place they made a glorious return to the stage and debuted their new line-up at an Ozzfest Offest Date in August of 2007 with death metal legends Nile, taiwan black-metalers Chthonic, and Daath. To ths day SINIS continues to march on offering the masses and all those that would lend an ear the gift of "True Metal."
