    I was deceived into believing a child was my son. I raised him for two years, then his fraudulent mother explained that his biological father was an old friend of mine from high school. She moved out, and Elkhart Superior Court (INDIANA) immediatley began to garnish my wages. She picked up nearly seven years ago, moved to Texas, and I have had NO way to contact the child since that time. I am simply a paycheck. Now the biological father has re-surfaced, and is working with me to try and correct the situation and be in his child life, but the court continues to deny him that right. The mother and her husband refuse to allow me contact with the child, and the court continues to justify the fact that I am forced to pay support simply because of a birth affidavit signed at the hospital at birth, which was never explained at the time of signing, and I had no reason to think the child was not mine at that point. If anyone reads this, and has any advice to help me defeat this and be able to move on with my life, please request me as a friend and e-mail me any ideas.  Thank you!     Thank you for all your efforts. The knowledge you have provided on your web site has helped my husband and I and my step kids tremendously. My husband has been a member of your website for over 8 years! He is "Sman" in your "Hall of Vistims" from Missouri in April 2001. We believe that babies should be DNA tested before they leave the hospital. Just the hereditary medical information alone is important in itself. Along with the prevention of possible long term emotional and financial stress of the whole family including the child.

    You are a God send!
