Brooklyn born fitness expert Phoenix Carnevale is on a mission to lead people to healthier lives. She believes that the path to a better lifestyle comes from balancing the mind and body and the joy and the pain.
Certified under NASM and ACE phoenix also has certs andspecialities as a Weight loss Specialist, Spin instructor, urban rebounding, pre post natal and special populations.
Her vast array of clients range from the amateur athlete, the couch potato or the over stressed bride.
Phoenix has combined her diverse training background, and her creative vision to design unique fitness initiatives. She can be found teaching at NYCs most exclusive clubs such as NYHRC and Equinox.
During her 8 year tenure at NYHRC she helped launch the Chizel program_ designed to tone and sculpt the entire body using functional training. She was also behind the successful launch of the Knockout Bride program and was featured on several of the advertisements and media tour for the program.
In 09 Phoenix will be launching her own signature class called Ashes to Athlete at Equinox Fitness Clubs. Ashes is an innovative class set to hip hop and house beats focusing on neuromusculat conditioning, postural balance, and building aerobic conditioning by stealing movements used by athletes.
Ms. Carnevale can be found regularly on the NYC morning news circuit discussing the latest in fitness trends or showcasing one of her classes. She has been featured on FOX 5 News, CBS News, NY1 and CW11 morning show. She has been featured on such National programs such as 20/20 and Lifetime Women's Next Stop, New You.
American Latino TV/Latination recently highlighted Phoenix's career as a leader and inspiration to Latinos living healthier lifestyles and as for a top expert in the fitness industry.
Numerous fitness publications have featured Phoenix as a fitness expert and a model.
Latina Magazine has named Phoenix their official fitness consultant and features articles and videos by Phoenix daily called "fitness with Phoenix"
A passion for Martial Arts is what drives Phoenix. As a representative of Seido Karate where she has trained with notable Master Kaicho Nakamura,she was featured in a New York times article for the organisations 30th anniversary. Phoenix is a field reporter and producer of the popular video podcast
INSIDE MARTIAL ARTS, which receives over 30000 downloads. Phoenix has also trained in Boxing at the renowned Gleasons gym and was featured on a series of promotional commercials at Gleasons for Spike TV. Phoenix recently started Muy Thai at The Wat under Kru Phil Nurse. Phoenix plans on competing in the fighting arts in 2009.

She has taught self defense for USA 3000 airlines under the Transit Security Administration (TSA). She was one of the first to train under the TSA's experimental Crew Member Self Defense Training course post September 11th.
In addition to her sports and fitness career. Phoenix cares about her community and has lectured at colleges around the country about fitness, self esteem and health related issues. Phoenix recently teamed up with HIP HOP for LIFE, an Organisation who's mission is to speak to the youth in urban communities.
A real renaissance women, Phoenix is also a seasoned performer. She has been in several independent films, performed spoken word poetry and was even on MTVs VJ for a day. She has also performed Stand UP comedy at Stand up New York and Gothem Comedy Club.
Most recently, Phoenix performed on an off broadway tour with Latino Flavoured Productions, a company focused on empowering latinos. She has also written and performed several of her own comedic and dramatic pieces. Phoenix has spoken on numerous panels with Latino flavored with a focus on latino issues and positive latino influence through the arts. Panels such as Association for hispanic arts, coca cola and citigroup.
True to her unique name, Phoenix is rising from the ashes of every one of her experiences and growing stronger through her passion for life.
