I listen to just about everything, but I have a real passion for my roots, the good 'ole 80's! The music just had a real flair for expressing some of the better things in life - and it was fun to listen to with a group of friends!
Movies
I'd list movies here but people wouldn't know what I'm talking about because I like the kind of movies they don't make anymore. Movies from back in the 40's and 50's. They captured an essence and spirit in life that few movies today are even able to "portray".
Television
Sci-fi, Discovery, and the National Geographic channel. Knowledge is power, and I beleive that everyone should empower themselves with it to have a better understanding of the world around them. Even if you can only learn a little bit of everything as oppossed to a lot about one thing, it just makes you a more interesting person.
Growing up, my heroes were always in books and movies. I have admired many guitarists as a guitarist myself, although more recently, I'm finding my heroes to simply be some of the people in my life, like my father, siblings and the service men and women who are sacrificing everything overseas! I may not agree with the war as it is now, but I do believe that those men and women have more than earned my respect and gratitude for the sacrifices they make every day in not just their service, but being away from home, their families, missing their children growing up and I salute them all! God Bless them!
