Retroburn is an alternative rock band from Detroit, Michigan. Started in 2002, Retroburn was initially a side project. After years of development and recording, a live band was formed.
The music is heavily influenced by old school, funk, classic rock and alternative but is mixed with the new school cutting edge sound of modern alt rock/indie bands.
Their original material is bass and drum driven rock with blues, funk guitar lines that fill the soundscape with etherial tones and atmospheric hooks. The vocals acommodate the songs with hook laden, emotional lyrics that clutch the listener.
In summer 2005 the live shows started and the act was solidified as one of Detroit's leading alternative rock bands.
