I started playing in bands in New Hampshire at the age of 14 and I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 25.
After years & years of playing in rock bands and living the rock lifestyle, being forgiven of God seemed impossible to me. Why would He even want to?
Living apart from God for all those years, brought no conviction to my soul before, so what was really going on? My musician friends at the time thought that I was having a nervous breakdown, “You’re going to start going to church? What is wrong with you?”
But one thing I knew after thinking clear for the first time since I was 14 years old, was that I was totally empty inside. I had a very strong conviction of knowing that I had sinned against God and I needed forgiveness!
I believe my mothers’ prayers were being answered. For many years she has prayed daily for my salvation.
I began to think. “I can take all the energy and focus that I’m using on my rock bands and turn that energy over to the Lord for His glory, honor and praise, and that could be an amazingly powerful testimony”.
I remember as a kid sitting in church, actually thinking, “Well I am going to hell anyway so I might as well just do what I want”. It sounds funny now, but that was my attitude for years.
Now I see it as a miracle of Gods grace. I literally turned from my wicked ways of living and turned my life over to God. “All My Days” now belong to Him.
It was and still is so awesome to me. Salvation. No words can accurately describe what He has done for me, but I have attempted to do that through these songs. I am trying to share in some small way, what He means to me. This is why I’m so inspired to write.
When I was baptized in May of 1999 my life and my songwriting changed and I have never been the same. My prayer for this compilation of songs is that they will edify those who believe (the church) and draw those who do not believe to the “Throne of Grace” of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ..
“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes”. (Romans 1:16).

Beloved,
we have a Tender, Loving Father who is touched by the feelings of our
infirmities. Even Jesus wept in His
trying hour; He knows our pain firsthand.
And He has sent His Holy Spirit to comfort us, speaking hope and peace
to our souls.
Establish
strong, abiding faith in God – a faith tested and proven through the fire of
your predicament. Your faith will emerge
so unshakable it will carry you through every hardship of the wilderness
journey just ahead; for you have a foundation of faith upon which to
build. And over time you will
confidently learn to praise God in all circumstances, with a faith so strong
hell will shudder!

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem, & some songs, on myspace... Poem 187 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): A SOUTH SHIELDS WALKABOUT - AUTUMN 2001
Out of the museum-and-gallery (Wiser on Cookson and the local way), Down Ocean Road with, to the right of me, Its eateries and, left, neat places to stay; Before, on either side, Marine Parks - The southern-one a most beautiful place, Teeming with moorhens, swans, grebes and mallards In a small lake at a scenic-hill’s base.
Then (holding chips from the parade’s cafe And, thus, a flock of gulls squawking above) Onto the South Pier I made my way: Seeing seaweed over rocks - like a glove - And high-and-dry sands held from transgression By growth of grass and the weaving of wood, Plus, in the dim light of a sleepy sun, Fishing boats returning to Tynemouth’s hood.

Hi Rob, Do you have a band or are you playing solo. I like your stuff. Do you have a place to download the whole album? I would like to use your songs to play on breaks at our shows if that is okay.
