Sharpp, born Jermel Howard, is the true definition of a young male entrepreneur. He and five brothers were raised in a single-family household in Long Island, NY. His struggles and contributions to his family and his career have shaped Sharpp into a relentless enterprising person who stops at nothing to achieve his goals. Music has always played a major role in Sharpp’s life and has been one of the fixations that kept success on his mind. Sharpp’s first performance had been at talent shows and local nightclubs with his rap group called the “Hostyle Huntas”. Eventually, the group separated but Sharpp knew that being in the hip-hop industry was what he lived for and began pursuing his career as a solo artist. He has done shows and won contests all over the 50 States including those infamous Floss Inc. Ski Weekends with Trey Songz, OShy (Bird Gang), 106 & Park, won The Secret Open MIC contest with Rah Digga (October 19, 2008), the 50Mics Tournament 2 @ Spot Light, The Spy Night Club Event, Sabor Lounge (Atlanta) and Harlem Lanes – Toy and Clothes Drive Charity Event (NYC 2009). More to date, Sharpp has also completed principle roles alongside actors such as Denzel Washington in the movie (“American Gangster”) Extended Version, Jodie Foster and Terence Howard in the movie (“The Brave One”) and Sharpp has played Eric B in the Wendy Williams movie (“Queen of Media”). Again with Sharpp being in the spotlight he has also been the main poster boy for Akademiks (clothing line) in 2006, which appeared in various major magazines like Vibe, Source, XXL and on Billboards all over the tri-state area and the M.T.A System. Coming soon February 2009 Sprint Commercial. Sharpp’s hit single “Oh My Goodness” was featured on Wendy’s Williams radio show 107.5 WBLS, Miss Jones radio show Hot97, played several times by DJ Kay Slay and spun by fourteen radio stations. Sharpp also has a new song with Cheri Dennis of Bad Boy called The Stage. Sharpp’s song Make It /Rakim (Version) has been played several times as well on National Radio recently (you can check that on BDS and MediaBase).
