I have a new very exciting creative collaboration with bassist Rui Salgado, some tracks are included in the myspace player.
The collaboration between Frank Roberts (UK/DK) on piano and me on saxes has a nice chemistry, listen to some duo jazz tracks of my compositions here in the myspace player: Where Do We Go, and Whatever.
A recent session with Klyver's Big Band in Aarhus (DK) was great, listen to them playing my composition Something Lost on this page as well.
My Bits and Pipes concert group will be doing some touring in 2010, see the group's page: www.myspace.com/BitsAndPipes.
As a composer I am also spending a good deal of time on multimedia chamber music, with interactive computer sound and video, more information, and some excerpts can be heard at: www.myspace.com/ReneMogensen
Sounds Like
Concerts of acoustic- and electroacoustic music and sonic art, compositions, improvisation and simultaneous performance-composition: gentle melodies and wild expressionism, moody modernism, patterns and gestures, static and moving, abstract, concrete, and in-your-face, personal and universal, for people of all ages, in the now, and timeless, digging in tradi-tions and searching for new possibilities. Be challenged, be surprised, be reassured, be fear-less, feel desperation, find hope, listen actively, let yourself go, drown in the sonic art, and always know that the performers are on your side, reaching into our common humanity...
