But life has not always been quadruple showcase wins for Fireball.
Born in south Los Angeles in 1980, Fireball has called Frankfort, KY, home for nearly 18 years. Two months before turning 16 years old, he became a father for the first time. After an emotional breakup with his baby-mama in the spring of 1998, he tried to end his life by shooting himself in the head in his best friend's SUV; however, a supernatural intervention prevented the suicide attempt.
Upon entering UK, Fireball joined a rap group called "Thugz With Attitude" and also got involved in the dangerous drug game. After the November 2001 murder of a friend and fellow rapper, Fireball left the rap group and college. Despite becoming a newlywed to his college sweetheart five months before the murder and the father of twin sons two months after the murder, he spiraled quickly into depression and became more addicted to alcohol and weed.
The marriage ended in the spring of 2005. On the verge of suicide once again, Fireball turned to two of his coworkers for help. The two coworkers just happened to be youth ministers at a local church. With nothing left to lose, Fireball accepted Jesus as his Lord and personal Savior on April 20, 2005. Seven weeks later, while vacationing in Philadelphia, he led his college friend (and fellow member of "Thugz With Attitude") Marcus to the Lord.
Despite the death of his oldest son and a near-fatal auto accident--both of which occured in August 2005--Fireball became more involved in the Bible and his church. One month later, he preached his first message at Shillito Park in Lexington, KY. In April 2006, the Lord called him into the ministry.
Aside from L.A. and Frankfort, Fireball lived in Lexington, KY, from 1982-88 and again from 1998-99 and briefly lived in West Philadelphia, PA, from April-July 2007.
When not involved in the Word, Fireball hangs out on Golden-Road.net (http://www.golden-road.net), a website devoted to "The Price Is Right". He occasionally hosts Play Along versions of the popular game show on that site. However, he is best known for his dominating play of the "Chatroom Showcase Showoff". He is the CSS record holder for most cash won in a season (over $1.2 million), most points wins in a season (16), and most DSW-quality bids in a season (13), and is the only person in CSS history to score a "QSW/Blitz" (he came within $250 of the actual retail prices of both showcases offered on October 10, 2006, while every other player overbid that day). Not surprisingly, he cruised to the 2006-07 CSS Championship title.
In other games based on "The Price Is Right", Fireball came in 14th place in the 2005-06 season and 6th place in the 2006-07 season of the "Price Is Right Amazing Race". He also made it to the tournament of the 2006-07 season of the "Friday Prediction Game", but got knocked out in 13th place.
