The Beatles and their later solo groups: John Lennon, Paul McCartney & The Wings, George Harrison and Ringo. We also like other groups that were influenced by The Beatles: Todd Rundgren, The Grays, ELO, Jellyfish, Utopia - the list goes on and on...
Singer and guitarist Tommy Anderson rounded up some of the finest musicians to play a musical tribute to George on the fifth anniversary of his passing. The band has since expanded its musical message, and brings to the stage the beautiful music and harmonies of The Beatles and their later solo groups. The band has performed for the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, and currently performs weekly at The Loft in Tempe every Wednesday from 7-10.
The band plays both the hits of the Beatles, as well as songs from their solo projects. For a more complete song list, visit our website at www.RingoMcLennonSon.com, where you can see videos of past performances, view pictures, listen to MP3s, and download posters and press material (bios, pictures, posters, etc.).
Tommy Anderson ~ Tommy is the bandleader, as well as the lead singer and guitarist for the band. A performer for over 20 years, he has worked as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, keyboardist, bassist, engineer, producer and as a studio musician. He has four albums released on the Groove Records label. You can check out his web site at www.TommyRocks.net.
Jimbo Gibbons ~ Jimbo is the "Ringo" of the group. Not only is he the drummer and singer, he is also a world-class percussionist. He has performed with many of Arizona's best musicians, has a self-released album on Groove Records, and is featured playing tabla on a Beatles' song on Smoot Mahooty's album. You can hear him at www.smootmahooty.com/shesawomen.mp3
Paul Richards ~ Paul is the bassist and singer for the band, not unlike Paul McCartney. "Pablo" is a great all-around musician: bassist, guitarist and singer, and he also is the keyboardist for local reggae band Grantman & The Island Beat. He is the funniest member of the group, and is great at entertaining an audience.
Steve Golba ~ Steve is the "George Martin" of the group, and is the arranger and musical director. Steve is an expert at playing piano, organ, strings, clarinet, harpsichord and horns, bringing to the show the memorable orchestrations that the Beatles and George created at Abbey Road Studios.
Sandy Foglesong & Sherry Golba ~ "Tommy's Angels" ~ the band's background singers, Sandy and Sherry bring both love and harmony to the group.
