My parents purchased a Fender “Music Master” Bass and Amplifier for me. My initial instructors were Mr. Sid Wolfolk and Mr. Edward Robinson. Based on my progress, in the tenth grade my folks graduated me to a Fender Jazz Bass Guitar and Studio Bass Amplifier (which I still play). All during high school I played in various popular local bands (Paradise, Upkuming etc.). These bands played clubs, high school engagements, talent shows etc. Various persons matriculated in and out of these bands to include popular hip-hop and R&B producer Dallas Austin (his older brother Claude was the drummer in one of my bands and Dallas started playing keyboards with us at the age of 14). While doing all of this, I played high school football and received a football scholarship to Tuskegee University (Alabama) after graduation. My music interest continued but on a smaller scale due to the time constraints imposed by college athletics and more importantly tough academic requirements. I played many of the college events in Tuskegee during the off-season. Upon my graduation from college in 1989, I became largely uninvolved in music. Other than occasionally playing with recorded performances in my basement, my aspirations of a music career of some type faded with the advent of new adult responsibilities. Also being from the “old school”, I never connected with a band or others with similar musical interest, so my playing fell off. In the meantime, my professional development increased greatly to receiving in addition to my undergraduate degree in Business Administration, I received two master’s degrees in Business and worked for the Department of Defense as a Contract Negotiator. In this career I learned how to negotiate multi-million dollar contracts and continue to do so. Despite professional success in Government service, I never lost my love for music. I stayed in touch with all types of music in the role of a fan. My music interest on a professional level was rekindled by an ex band member discussing the possibility of me going into the entertainment management field. Based on that suggestion, I started Riverside Entertainment Management in April of 2001. I am a members of the American Society of Composers, Artist, and Publishers (ASCAP). I employ the following equipment in our production processes.
