I was born in the tropics of Miami Florida, but I now consider myself officially a Nashville native. I think there is some unwritten rule around here, that if you hang on long enough, oh maybe 20 years or so, that qualifies you as a native around here.
Since I got here in 1986 I have been working my way into the heart and soul of this amazingly creative community by being a multi-instrumentalist and a singer songwriter. I sing and play banjo, dobro, pedal steel, and guitar.
I have worked with artists like Rod Stewart, Ray Stevens, Vince Gill, Deborah Allen, Matt King, David Ball, Terry Clark and so many others.
My husband and I currently own and operate, a recording studio in Nashville called the Parlor Studio, Parlor Productions, and Best Built Songs, where we take pride in creating new music and developing new talent.
I was lucky enough to win a Grammy Award for playing banjo and singing on a project named “Beautiful Dreamer; Songs of Stephen Foster”. We won in the category of Best Traditional Folk Album in 2005.
Hi Robin. I just wanted to wish you a very busy and safe 2009. I also wanted to thank you for the info on your set up with Rod from earlier this past year. Stay safe, God bless.
Tile is officially my arch nemesis. Never ever again. But I have a B3 and a Leslie to make up for it. But I think I'm gonna change the name to a B3 and a Molly. Just sayin'. I have tequila, call me.
Hi Robin, Just wanted to stop by to say hello. I sure do miss all the good times at Opryland and the places where you used to play. I finally got high speed and see you have Sisters Wade on your page. Have you heard from Julie lately? If you see her, let her know I have a MySpace page, in case she has one,as I can't find her. Last time I saw her was when she opend for Charlie Daniels. Best wishes, Buddy
Hi Robin--It's Kayte (who did my last record at your studio). I'm in Chicago on my own tour and I told my friends here who went to see Rod last night to get some snapshots of you (if you were on this year's tour). I have some shots you may want to add to your collection. Do you want me to send them to you or to the studio in Nashville?
I hope you are doing great. I go back to Nashville today after a 2 1/2 week outing that took me as far as Bismarck, ND. I can't wait to get home for a few days.
