...JAZZELL---The stage name of a 16 Year old female thats changing the hip hop industry. Just this past year, Jazzell has released some remix tracks that had her neighborhood dancing. She has performed on stages with artists like Roxanne Shante, The Original Spnderella, La Bruja, ETC.She has received props from some of Hip Hop's greatest Mc's and Pioneers. She has intoduced a different style to SCHENECTADY, NEW YORK, with her crew "TEAM ROCKSTAR". They Skateboard and dress fresh. They don't care what people think and set their own trends. "They show people in the hood that its okay to be different but to love yourself and embrace your style, even if no one else does. They started a new evolution.."
Jazzell was born Jasmine Williams, in the South section of The Bronx,NYC.She moved to Schenectady New York as a child but nothing could keep her away from her city. Every school break or weekend, Jazzell would go visit her family in NYC with her mother or a relative.Even while in diapers, her family knew they had a smart talented star on their hands. Jazzell would dance at the drop of a hat and would sing normally after coming home from school.And when 6 years old she woke her mom up out of bed at 6 AM to ask her if she could go outside and check the "pissipitaion".
At age 8 Jazzell picked up a microphone in the school auditorium and belted out a song for the school choir auditions. Immediately she got a standing ovation by everyone in the room. Even though her voice was loved she was too young to join the choir that year but was promised a spot in the next school year. One day Jazzell made up her own Verse to a Lil Kim song, the she started writing poerty. At age 11 Jazzell heard another Lil Kim song and made up her own verse to it-She floored her older sister. Once showing her whole family what she could do and getting fantastic feedback, Jazzell knew she wanted to be a entertainer/performer.
She writes her own music and credits her father, Tyrone, for supporting her to try anything she wanted and loving everything she did try. When Jazzell gets enough money, she dreams of getting her father out of the hood and moving him into either a condo in the city or a mansion in the hills. Jazzell's musical inspirations include artists like KRS-one, Roxanne Shante, Kanye West & Aaliyah. Over the years Jazzell has managed to mix all of her talents, try new things, perform shows, inspire kids and still remain in school with good grades. Jazzell is an MC[not rapper], singer, dancer, actress etc.. but in all Jazzell is an artist. She dresses the way she feels and has a unique style that many of her peers follow. Her talents and styles are effortless. With a perfect combination of an Old School Hip Hopper and a Punk Rock chick...Jazzell isn't JUST a star, she's a rockstar. Hard lyrics that can also be smooth. A savvy voice that can be as loud as a voice goes. Dance moves from all over the world. The music is different but still close to home. Keep an eye on this Rockstar of Hip Hop because JAZZELL IS GOING FOR IT!
