SYNOPSIS
American-born Asian graduate student, Eric Young, is lured back to college baseball field one final time, passing himself off as 10 years younger to try out for the Division 2 Volcanos.
Once he makes the cut, Eric, often injured, develops a relationship with his neighbor, Jackie, an aspiring, All-American personal trainer. But when ex-boyfriend Smaller joins the baseball coaching staff, attempting to win Jackie back, Eric finds himself amidst jealousy and suspicion.
As the season progresses, Eric mentors his fellow AmerAsian roommate, Frates, also a backup catcher. Although both sit the bench, they continually prepare for a big mid-season exhibition against a pro team, hoping to garner any attention from the scouts that will show.
However, when competition heats up between the 2 roommates, Frates decides to take his future into his own hands. With confrontations mounting all around, Eric is forced to search deep within, where he realizes just how closely baseball has always mirrored his every choice.
While the Volcanos spiral down toward the worst season in school history, opportunity arises when Barber, the starting catcher, suffers an injury, forcing Head Coach Meyers to choose the backup. Surprisingly, it is Eric who is called upon to start against the professional Stars.
But with Smaller hot on the trail of compromising Eric’s identity, Jackie ultimately discovers that Eric's true enemy is really himself, leaving him to suffer the consequences of a serious psychological dilemma.

As an actor, I have commercials currently running for the Thunder Valley Casino & the California Highway Patrol. I also have my hands in a couple of Pizza Hut print ads.
Upcoming Films -- Eric/Jimmy in AmerAsian and Eric/Steve in American Asian (Part 2), both due out on the festival circuit in 2009 & 2010. Wrapping Young Again [AmerAsian3] (2011) in mid-year, the darkest, yet possibly the most powerful installment of my Trilogy.
Bio -- Born and raised in San Francisco, CA; My first 3 filmmaking efforts of my AmerAsian Trilogy, have been my passion for the past several years; An avid networker and film festival supporter, I actively scout actors, filmmakers, crew, and other artists year-round.
My first inspiration to work behind the camera came while Standing-In for Jackie Chan on Brett Ratner’s Rush Hour 2; There I studied the pair’s tireless energy toward finely detailed perfection; My first inspiration to work in front of the camera came when Cameron Crowe cast me in my debut scene opposite Tom Cruise and Kurt Russell in Vanilla Sky (although I didn't survive the final cut).
I landed various various roles in commercials, film and television, most notably on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show before my former acting instructor, Michelle Danner @ Larry Moss Studios, influenced me to create my own material, turning into an entire feature film Trilogy; All of my work is inspired by my close personal relationships, revolving around my immensely challenging baseball journey.
Back in my playing days, I pitched nationally recognized Lowell High School to our first ever victory at Candlestick Park as a junior. However, I was forced to overcome a serious career threatening rotator cuff injury as a senior; But I walked on to the Dons' outfield at the University of San Francisco as a college freshman, a squad from which 9 of my teammates went on to sign professionally; Due to lack of playing time, I transferred around to play at Pierce College, Long Beach City College, and Cal State Hayward, where I ended up starting in left field and finishing as the Pioneers' second leading hitter.
In between college seasons, I was fortunate enough to try out at third base at recruitment camps for the Seattle Mariners, the Philadelphia Philles, and the Major League Scouting Bureau. After CSUH, I returned to USF to earn my B.A. in Psychology before playing out the rest of my baseball career at catcher for various semi-pro teams around Northern & Southern California; I settled in L.A. to specialize in deep tissue massage therapy, enrolled in acting classes, and found myself catching Hideo Nomo in an international Nike commercial. Soon after, I embarked full-time on my entertainment career.

“There are four questions of value in life... What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love. ”
"For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it.
For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it.
For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it. "
“I would rather have eyes that cannot see; ears that cannot hear; lips that cannot speak, than a heart that cannot love”
