About RootsFest presented by Swallow Hill

Our Third Annual RootsFest this past Saturday, March 28, 2009, was a magical success! We couldn't ask for more for our 30th birthday! Mark your calendars for 2010's RootsFest: March 6!

Our thanks to our amazing headliners Hot Rize, Rickie Lee Jones and Leo Kottke, and our stellar showcase artists, Tallest Man on Earth, Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Joe Pug, and Boulder Acoustic Society. Many thanks to our emcees, Harry Tuft, Mollie O'Brien and Rich Moore for entertaining everyone during set changes and for keeping the whole night running smoothly on stage.

Many thanks to the production crew, Swallow Hill staff, board members, and volunteers who produced the event and worked long hours in both planning and executing everything needed for the event. We are gracious and thankful for the myriad sponsors who gave graciously on many levels.

And thank YOU, those who came, and who are patrons and supporters year-long, our members, our lifeblood. We welcome any and all feedback you have about RootsFest. Check out our RootsFest discussion thread on our custom Ning network to tell us what you think. We'd love to hear what you have to say.

My Dear New Friends,

Thank you so much for introducing me to your circle of friends.

You have a great lineup for next year's RootsFest, which includes some of my favorite artists. I can't thank you enough for seeking me out to share such joyous treasures, except to add bravo!!!

Wishing you happiness and tranquility in all things.

Here's a peaceful scene, not far from where I live, to add to your local Rocky Mountain greenery, as a souvenir upon which to reflect, and for good luck.

Cheers,

Joel
