Biography
Greasers unite! Psychobilly Rockers raise your drinks! This is heavy, gritty bar brawling rock and roll, there is a lot of pickin', strummin' and bendin'. The beats are just as you would expect: fast and furious. The songs are about gambling, murder, the devil and leaving town. While the band hits on some roots rock vibes with punk rock and psychobilly overtones the most striking feature of Rumble Club is the lead vocalist. On several occasions Jack Coray delivers a dead on Johnny Cash. He can bring it in tight and low or bellowing and voracious, adding to the maddeningly fast rhythms laid down by the rest of the band. And get this, he’s also the lead guitarist! His pickin’ style has been called a cross between Carl Perkins, Junior Brown and Duane Eddy,...fricken' incredible! Joined by Rhythm guitarist Jay “Chewy” Clark, Bassist Alex "Bones" Becket and Drummer Mark Santoro They've got a tight sound, and are very aggressive in their approach to a well defined and scrutinized genre. Fans of fast paced country doused rockabilly, psychobily and even roots rock should check out the power of the Rumble Club.
Rumble Club began in 2004, formed by band leader and songwriter Jack Coray who has been at it for a while playing the Punk scene in the 80’s and the Goth Rock scene of the 90’s. But for Rumble Club in ‘04 it would be twanging guitars, doghouse bass and chugging drum beats. With an arsenal of new songs they shook up several venues as they cruised up and down the Southern and Midwestern states leaving their ever growing mark wherever they went.
In 2005 they released Rides Tonight, a psycho tinged westernish wailer that defined the bands truly original sound and style. The release drew international attention earning radio play on various stations around the globe and scored write-ups in several publications. Things really picked up for the band In 2007 when they signed on with Hairball8 records and released The Gambler’s Regret. The album has been praised by several publications calling it a mini pulp fiction novel with tales of juvies, hotrods, gamblers and other cool outsiders. In 2008 the band hit the road for a Northeastern tour drawing crowds everywhere they performed. In 2009 the band inked a new deal with Wolverine Records releasing "THE BAD IN ME" in the US and all over Europe. This marked the first European release for the band. With that they hit the road in the US for the "West Bound And Down" tour hitting Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Denver, Decatur, Las Vegas, Los Angelos, Pheonix, San Antonio, and other cities.
Plans for 2010 include another release with the return of RCs orginal bassist "Bones". A European tour which is being booked by Stahl Entertainment in Germany. Stay tuned!
