Scott Bartenhagen is a song writer and jazz guitarist from Lathrop, California. Playing professionally since he was 15, Scott has played hundreds of live music concerts in various forms. With his Tejano music group, Los Bandidos, he has performed at countless weddings, quinceneras, and festivals. One of his other groups, Fairway, went on to much local acclaim, earned themselves award nominations and even a first place finish in a battle of the bands competition. Scott regularly plays live jazz in various venues throughout Stockton, California.
In July of 2007, Scott performed a show in Turlock, California, and for the first time played a set of completely original songs. Singing for the first time as well, patrons of the venue that night convinced Scott to play more shows. Since that night in July of '07, Scott has played various venues ranging from the Queen Bean coffee house in Modesto, California, to Black Oak Casino, where he performed with the Grammy nominated Folk group, the Duhks.
The music Scott writes is a mix of indie/pop/jazz tunes in the vein of John Mayer with more than a healthy dose of folk guitar and finger picking. Likened to Radiohead and Joanna Newsome as well, Scott runs the gamut of musical styles but sticks to his folk and Americana roots. He can be contacted at this myspace page and through his Email at Giantfellow@gmail.com
And no, Scott does not play basketball. Please don't ask his if he does. He'll kill you.

you have a terrorific voice, and by that I mean I'm frightened by your talent. I thought you sounded great the other night, I hope to catch you again or work with you sometime.
