  • General

    We love all forms of dance - or, if we can say, appreciate all forms of dance. We don't really do East-Coast Swing anymore. But partner and solo dances alike - from Balboa/Bachata/Blues to Lindy/West Coast/Salsa to Adagio and Hustle and yadda yadda yadda ... yeah - we love dancing. Sorta frees the soul and gives us a freedom of expression that is public. Oh yeah - we snowboard too.

    In our month in Thailand, Dax's music choice on the ipod was Cats & The Fiddle.
    Doug's music choice was James Blunt.
    They also had an equal amount of Jack Johnson on their playlists as well.

    It's amazing how a good book can come in handy when you're not dancing. Right now Doug is reading books by Lee Child. Dax is reading Maxim. Because he borrowed it from Doug.

DOUG SILTON
is based in Los Angeles, CA. A SoCal native growing up, he escaped to Maine and Italy for his undergraduate studies (sounds so serious, eh) ... majoring in Art History and deciding to become a professional dancer ... well ... his parents were proud. On his mom's side, Doug's grandmother was a professional flautist. His aunt as well. His grandfather played the violin. His mother was a studio art teacher. His dad was an art history major. Enough about family. But family is why Doug started dancing - his first dance partner was his sister when he was 12. Now, 17 years and a few national championships under his belt, Doug is a full-time Swing dancer.

DAX HOCK
has lead an amazing life. Growing up in Carlsbad, CA, he ventured to Santa Barbara to begin his education, soon landing a prestigious performance and choreography job at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. This began a 5-year journey for Dax, and oh - while he was gone and therefore removed from the competitive Lindy Hop circuit in the United States, people not only continued talking about his N'Back and Dogpile routines, but he even made one competitive appearance in the US - showing up to win the Lindy Showcase division of the US Open Swing Dance Championships.Dax is currently on tour, teaching and performing in Finland.

Both Doug & Dax are internationally acclaimed dance instructors and competitors. And cool guys. You should try hanging out with them. Really.
