Nick Rivera - Youth Director
My name is Alvin Rojas and I, along with Nick Rivera run a youth group out of Elmwood Chapel (formally known as Wellesley Baptist Church) in Wellesley,Ma. We would like to invite any teens in the Jr. and Sr. High Schools to come and enjoy some fun times in our Youth Program.
Nick Rivera and I have attended Elmwood Chapel since we both were young teens. We started out going to youth group when Youth Pastor Scott Hadley was running it, and he always taught us that it is important to walk with Christ and for his message to be known. Jesus died for our sins because he loves us. In todays world teens are missdirected from what Jesus preached and taught about, which is spreading love, honoring each other, obeying God and having a close relationship with Christ. Now it is our time to teach others in what we have been taught when we where young.
Our Youth Group always meets at the church at 6:30pm and lasts until 9:00pm. Usually we start off for the first hour by hanging out or doing a group activity (mostly Dodge Ball!) Then we finish it off by doing a Bible study.

"The Youth group has helped me walk with God because normal church always had bored me so I never went. Playing games and enjoying worshiping god has made it much easier for me to walk with him. It has changed my way of living because I used to dread going to church, and now I look forward to it and go more often. Going to church more often has helped me realize that I sometimes take for granted the better things in life, and that i should pray more often,and thank Christ for all of the blessings in my life." Alvin - "I love my brother."
Nick - "funny and thoughtful. but he needs a makeover! and i should be the one to give it to him!! =]"
When asked about what Nick G thaught about Alvin and Nick he said,
Alvin - "Cool guy, easy to get along with, always willing to listen."
Nick - "He's really funny, easy to talk to, and knows what's up in the bible haha."
When asked what Megan's favorite moment in youth group was Megan replied, "meeting you guys for the first time,and feeling welcome."
When asked what her favorite moment in youth group was Allysen replied, "Bowling!"
When asked what Nick G's favorite moment in youth group was Nick G replied,"When Armando cried like a girl haha"
