Studio 231 Myspace network is for people who come to Studio 231 or would like to come to Studio 231 for a concert, open mic showcase, special event, birthday party, homecoming party, or just to hang out with friends dancing, drinking and talking. This is to be our V.I.P. clique and if you Add Studio 231 to your Friends you will be the first to hear about shows and events, get special offers on admission and tickets to shows, and win prizes and stuff like that.
Studio 231, located at 231 East Broad Street, Gadsden, AL., is the largest and most attractive club with the largest dance floor in the Gadsden/Anniston/Northeast Alabama area.
Studio 231 is designed with a lobby featuring an enclosed ticket booth, carpeted main hall downstairs having a large dance floor, a tri-level stage reflected in a floor to ceiling mirror with lighting effects and full sound system operated from the DJ booth on the second level, 2 bars, a VIP section and a Relaxation Room featuring a big screen television, 2 pool tables, a single u-shaped bar, kitchen service, dining area (great area for small birthday parties or meetings). Plus an upstairs carpeted balcony that wraps around 3 walls of the club with a bar and another VIP area. For performers there are 2 dressing rooms. For the comfort of the patrons there are 4 sets of restrooms (3 downstairs, 1 upstairs). The club is a free standing building featuring off the street parking in a privately secured parking lot. Dress is casual and sportswear is accepted. Capacity is approximately 1200 persons.
Studio 231 has been host to concert events featuring artists such as Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys, Ying Yang Twins, B.G., T.I., 2 Live Crew, Dirty, Last Mr. Bigg, Juvenile, Master P, Lil Flip, Lil Wayne, Pastor Troy, Yo Gotti, Rasheeda, Boosie, Webbie and several album release parties for independent labels.

Sunday: Swagger Sundays -- Live performances from local and regional recording artists and open mic showcase

You know the way it's done.
*up to 8 minutes on the mic
*original songs only, no remixes, no mixtape joints, no sampling
*you get only one time on the mic--no collabos: if ya boi wants to help with your song then he can't come up later on to do his own song--you in it together all the way or you go solo
*no lip synching--if you rap or sing over your entire song you lose points so we better be able to hear your voice clearly
*come with a show--a well planned, rehearsed presentation. The selected artist will perform in front of a crowd of 1,000 people. Act like an Opening Act.
*your name must be on the CD. No name, no performance.
*come with your best material for your show--if the DJ not feeling it you may get put on "BLAST"
Check-in signup begins 10 p.m. Walk-ins accepted. Showcase begings at 12 Midnight. No registration fee. $5 admission to Studio 231 with proper ID. Age 18 and older. No ID, No Admittance.
