S-Hickey is a solo pianist/guitarist/percussionist from Pasadena Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore City / the state capital of Annapolis / & the nations capital of Washington DC. Most notably known as the founder of Deformative Records, an indie Baltimore label, and in the earlier years, the main driving force behind The Luinissinfes, a hard rock 5 piece with a 10 year history.
Stretching genres would be a good description of the style of S-Hickey's music, going from smoothe
ambient textures to harsh obnoxious rhythms, topped off with artful classical pieces & a hint of electronica just to spice things up. Chaotic as it may seem, each creative outlet is packaged neately with its own working title. Making up the core of Deformative Records; The Luinissinfes, Luiniss, Peace of Mind, The End Credits, Loving the Lie & Wake.
Currently, S-Hickey is the guitarist/keyboardist/backing vocalist for the pop/rock band "Loving The
Lie," in the process of recording a full length CD, and playing packed shows at local Baltimore venues. Also on the schedule is the long awaited release of "The Broken Pieces," a double Classical piano CD set including the re-release of 2004's "The Decadent Era."
