Hi. My name is D. Today is April 18, 2007. And I'm here to announce that like many other Americans tonight, I tuned into American Idol to find that Sanjaya Malakar had been eliminated from the competition. As a result of this, I'm going on a hunger strike. I'm doing this because I believe that Sanjaya has been treated unfairly by mindless sheep who's CD collections probably consist of nothing but the most mindless mainstream garbage crammed down our throats. I believe that Sanjaya has been the target of mean-spirited attacks because he doesnt fit into the usual mold. ... Also, fat chicks have conspired against him, but I digress.
Therefore, I am going to continue my hunger strike until the vote is rescinded and Sanjaya is graciously allowed to return, the show's producers release the actual vote count, or American Idol is cancelled. If you'd like to end this strike, For the next 6 Tuesdays, do not tune into American Idol - Lost is fairly good -and do not vote for any contestant.
