Savannah Pride, Inc. is a 501 c-3 non-profit Corporation with the State of Georgia and is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes within the meaning of sec. 501 c-3 of the IRS Code.
Savannah Pride Mission Statement
To create and promote acceptance, appreciation, respect, a positive image, unity, equality, visibility and self-esteem of the GLBT community between family, friends and community.
To contribute back to the Savannah, Coastal Georgia and Low Country communities as active, responsible community citizens by way of community activities and services.
To recognize that our continued growth and success depends on the involvement, development and utilization of all of our diverse community members.
To affirm the dignity of all GLBT people, their families, friends and allies within the Savannah, CSRA and Low Country.
To encourage visibility of the members of our diverse community.
To encourage all members and supporters of the LGBT community to gather in a singular forum to promote acceptance through all means and opportunities.
To support and encourage awareness, education and research regarding health issues affecting the LGBT community including HIV/AIDS and Breast Cancer.
To provide GLBT persons with a variety of functions, including: cultural, civic, educational, fellowship and other activities, events and programs, which enhance and enrich the mental and physical health of our diverse community.
To foster an awareness of past, present and future contributions of the GLBT community.
Geographical Focus
Savannah Pride benefits the entire Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area (Savannah MSA) community - including every county, city, township and community within the CSRA and Low County.
Volunteers
Savannah Pride is a 100% wholly volunteer-managed, non-partisan organization. No individual, regardless of status, receives a salary or payment for services rendered.
Family Friendly
Savannah Pride is organized as a fun-filled, family event. Free and open to the public. Welcoming to all – family, friends, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, moms and dads – EVERYONE!
