|
| Bio | Comedian Scotty K is a New York-born, and Southern-raised, son of a Baptist preacher. By the time Scotty was fifteen years old, he had already lived in six states and attended eight schools. After graduating from college with degrees in counseling and psychology, Scotty spent several years counseling troubled teens. What he found was that most of the kids were actually quite normal, at least when compared with his own childhood and ADHD diagnosis. Recognizing he had a rather unique outlook on life, Scotty left his counseling position and hit the comedy stage. At the time, his family and friends thought he was crazy; but with the great success he has had headlining clubs on the national comedy circuit, Scotty has proven his intuitions correct.
You never know what to expect when Scotty K hits the stage. No two shows are alike, as he skillfully incorporates brilliant characterizations, sidesplitting observations, mixed with improv and music. With incredible instincts and an extraordinary imagination, few things are off limits in Scotty’s PG act. Topics include his upbringing, pop culture, the South, music, religion, and the audience- to name a few. Everyone who has witnessed his unique act agree that his high energy is contagious and he’s simply hysterical. Rarely do you find a comedian with the ability to create such brilliant satire coupled with strong improvisation skills– Scotty is such a comic.
Scotty K has been seen on seen on BET’s Comic View, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, FARKtv, and even The Weather Channel. He has been heard on the nationally syndicated radio shows “The Bob and Tom Show,” “Rick and Bubba,” and “Bob and Sheri.” Scotty has shared the stage with stars such as DL Hughley, Joe Rogan, Chris Tucker, Ricky Smiley, and Kevin Pollack.
