________SHAY ASTAR: VOCALS - ACOUSTIC GUITAR_______
Members of Rojo Trio:
Phil Frechette, guitar, piano, organ, harmonica, vocals; Jeff Shuter, percussion; Nathanael Balon, drumkit.
Max Fine, drumkit; Joseph Rehuame, bass.
Shay comes from hippie Santa Cruz and hippie people. She started playing guitar, thinking she would become Bob Dylan's new touring guitarist and then immediately started writing songs and revised her scheme. Shay has played in various outfits including the electro-soul duo Uffy with Jeff Shuter and the roots rock duo Astarisk with Phil Frechette as well as several variations of her own gig-ing band which has at times included both Shuter and Frechette. Shay is preparing to tour this summer in support of her album Blue Music, out in early summer on a co-headlining tour with Phil Frechette and will be playing mostly solo acoustic shows, right from the gut, the way she began.
Shay attempted for some time to keep this profile clean of any mention of her past lives in film and television. She now sees that resistance is futile and suggests that if you are interested in seeing her work, check out her page on IMDB and go buy her film, THE LOST out now on DVD. She promises to keep updating on the status of her newest film BOSTON GIRLS and all future projects as well.
Tracks from Blue Music will be available for purchase soon! Keep checking back for upcoming album release and tour announcements.
"Mounts Bay Morning." Hi Shay. How's things? I do hope all's well with you and yours. Especially that ol' rapscallion, my mate Mick! I've been away for a bit, walking in Ancient English Woodland in Middle England. Back in Cornwall now. Took the above pic about 500 yards downhill from my house. Love to all ~ Res
Thanks for accepting the myspacial friendship, and here’s wishing you a happy week, heavy with hilarious hoaxes, hospitable headless horsemen, heroic hobgoblins, hopeful harpy healers, horrifying heaps of horseradish, humorous hamster hags, haunted hairy harmonicas, and heavenly hellhounds howling heartfelt haikus about horoscope-handy hippopotami.
Happytimes, -Jeremy :)
Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says, 'Oooooo.' Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.

I feel honored that Don't Break Down was played at my mom's house before it was even finished. Oh my god it is so gorgeous. And I am so sad not to be there with you, applauding your every song. (I am from far away, though).
