So, you wanna know about us? Well here goes...
A few years back, Alyssa, Danny & Tina were frequent show goers. No show was too big or too small. Danny, being a musician, played alot of these shows and Alyssa & Tina being friends with alot of the bands all started hanging out with them and being part of the local scene. As time went on, Alyssa & Tina were getting more and more interested in the scene.
In 2003, Alyssa & Tina started ouy as promoters for local clubs and production companies. Soon enough, In 2004, Alyssa started working for In The Pit Productions, booking hardcore and metal bands 3 nights a week. Tina became the artist of the group, designing band logos and such for the company and bands. Danny was a frequent to the In the Pit shows, playing many of them with his two bands Whorelord and Praeter Morte.
Alyssa was not happy booking metal and hardcore bands, cuz her heart was in deathmetal and grindcore. She felt more comfortable with booking the kind of music she knew and understood. Alyssa & Danny started talking about possibly starting a production company, an affiliate to In the Pit. After alot of thought, they decided they would, now they just needed a name...
Danny came up with Sheer Brutality Productions, from there on they were ready and prepared to dominate the Deathmetal scene on Long Island. Now that you know how we started, here's what we're all about:
Sheer Brutality Productions is a Long Island, Ny based Company. They book Deathmetal and Grindcore bands, signed and local from all over the U.S and even out of the states. Sheer Brutality is NOT about the $$ what so ever. It's all about haveing good shows with good music and having fun. We DON'T have ticket sales, nor do we have pay to play bullshit. It's all about the scene and having bands be heard. Sheer Brutality is currently working with Rotting Corpse Records, based out of Chicago, IL. You can check them out at www.RottingCorpseRecords.com.
