SIN FRONTERAS FILM FESTIVAL's Blurbs

About me:

I am a festival, in Burque (as the locals call Albuquerque), Nuevo Mexico, put on by SOLAS-Student Organization of Latin American Studies at University of New Mexico for the last 3 years. This year 2007, MEChA- Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/os de Aztlan at UUNM are the main co-sponsors of the event. Our film festival has empowered students to organize a large-scale, local, community and independent media event.

Proceeds of the Sin Fronteras Film Festival 2007 will be donated to "Comision Justicia y Paz" aiding the children of political prisoners in Oaxaca, Mexico. Come and support political justice, an ideology of liberation and films that counter images shown in mainstream media.

MEN LEAVE YOUR DICKS AT THE DOOR. Personally Sin Fronteras Film Festival with a doubt is creating more than just a space, Sin Frontera film Festival is creating liberation of expression, liberation of our self sustainability and a possibility of freedom, “Freedom of thought... is, the indispensable condition, of nearly every other form of freedom. With rare aberrations a pervasive recognition of this truth, that can be traced in our history, political and legal experiences.” Creating freedom with in a dogmatic belief system, Sin Fronteras film Festival has captured the importance to a place called NOW. the present of repression this is our NOW resisting for all visible and invisible prisons of oppression , resisting from all DESTRUTION that includes all privilege white, hetero, male, economical, linguistically, aesthetical and self occupancy towards selfishness’ and individualism. A movement that determine more that just the "Individual rights" we are all the exploited, marginalized and oppressed minorities, resisting and saying, 'Enough'! The oppression of one is the oppression of everyone and we cannot violate the liberation of one person with out violating the liberation of all. Thanks for bring us all back together and allowing us to share and create and resist as one giant fist, by all means necessary.
