Hard to say, but to try to give some vague idea... Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Autechre, Robert Miles... it all depends on what I'm doing at the time
So yeah, I don't update this myspace much at all anymore. That's just how I roll, I guess. I've been pretty busy on the musical front. First off:
Shameless Plug
The album is out, you can buy it from there! Not to mention, I update that myspace much more frequently.
Also, in the past few months I have joined up with two bands here in the Chicago area, and anybody who might read this is strongly encouraged to check us out.
Left on Wacker, a primarily original (well, that'll be true in a month or three) band somewhere in some genre that uses any combination of the following words: Pop, Rock, Jam, Alternative, Crunk.
WTF are these Songs?
The Penguin - This is an ultra rough mix of a track being put together for an upcoming album by Left On Wacker. $600 recording budget, with yours truly on guitar, backing vocals, recording, mixing, and mastering credits. God bless Perfect Sound, for having such a killer sounding room to track drums in. Also, God Bless self indulgent guitar solos.
Dissociation - This is a track that came together in the course of two days. It's a still rough demonstration of some sort of laid back/ambient-ish influences that I must have picked up along the way without knowing it. I mainly posted it here because I want as many opinions as possible on whether or not I should add vocals or keep it instrumental.
The Smoke of Fireclops/Diessect - Two tracks recorded back in 2005 with a metal band I played with that went by the name of Fireye. I do all the leads, and one of the rhythm tracks.
lolBossbattle - One day I woke up and said "Man, I don't have enough wanky video game synth-shred-rock in my life" So, I spent the day making this tune. Ignore the awful production, and pay attention to the glorious wankery! Close your eyes and imagine you're about to fight a total badass nemesis, RPG style. Listen for the sonorous tones of cheesy synth brass! Love the synth brass. Listen for the thump of the synth slap bass. Love the synth slap bass. Boom-diggy boom-diggy.
Lighthouse Gone - Basement recording of my band Fierce Mellon, done sometime around 05-06. Rough and like 90% of my stuff is improvised, but it's a pretty cool jam. Listening back: God I used to be so wanky. And much worse... SLOPPY. Yeeeee. Well I probably still am, but I convince myself I'm not.
Shoulder Shrugs OFDOOM - Back in winter '05 I did this medley of songs from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for Dwelling of Duels. So, here it is.
Downtown NES - A song from my former band Fierce Mellon... done chiptune style. This took me like two hours, so you better like it.
Check those two links out for updates on the album, future albums, etc. etc. This place will end up reverting to more of a 'personal' profile because of it, though I'm sure I'll still throw random songs here from time to time.
let us know if you coming =] if you can't make it, please repost this in a bulletin! THIS SHOW WILL BE HUGE, a similar lineup on jan 6th sold out at @ 333 kids!!! be there early to get in!

For those of you who are musicians, have a band or even know someone:
Nitro Sound Solutions' website and MySpace profile now have an English version. It's a recording and design studio owned by Earth (Seduced by Suicide, Blood Tears) which have more than 10 years of experience - Ynis Vitrin recorded "A Dark Land" there. Even being located (meanwhile) in Brazil, it's able to work with bands/musicians of every part of the world, offering audio (mixing, mastering) and design (logos, booklets, artwork cover, website...) services.
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts, Some as big as ya head. Just letting all you smelly and lovely people know that i am currently in the stages of recording a new album
Did you check the cover version made by Ynis Vitrin for the Joan Osbourne' song "One of Us"? It's available in our MySpace page, besides of tracks from the first cd.
