About me:
I'm in my mid 40's and after being thrown to the curb by three wives and a kid or two, I'm making a different life for myself. I am a Photographer with varied experience. For the better part of a year I have been traveling the East Coast photographing equestrian events. I enjoy both the work and the nomadic lifestyle. I will return home someday and plan to operate a photography business.
I'm a very easy going, laid back person; nothing really throws me into a panic. Most people find me humorous but I'm not the life of the party. I think though just about everything and that gives me a keen eye to see through a lot of things. I regard people who don't understand logical patterns and paths as ignorant. I was ignorant and it is no insult to be so. Ignorance is not stupidity.
I am an opinionated individual. I develop an opinion about everything. I'm not overbearing with my opinion. I respect others and their's and accept that we do no all process information the same way. Sometimes I have a concrete opinion about a thing immediately and am unshakable. Other times I draw conclusions much slower. I'm honest. I'm thoughtful. For this reason I will not generally express my thoughts when the honesty is brutal and saying anything would only serve to injure someone elses feelings.
I believe that education is important and have come to an age where I understand that education is no substitute for experience. I appreciate too, there are others who do not have a capacity to learn from experience. Experience is a harsh school master. I cannot give credit for this quote, but I admire it, "Those who cannot learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them". Education will make one an intellect; experience will make one wise.
People say that I am smart. I'm flattered by that. Trust me, I am not smart. I know a little bit about a lot of things. For this reason I can hold a conversation for a reasonable length of time. For me this is good. I enjoy communication - having it and studying it. In a younger time of my life I wanted to be a journalist. Perhaps that is why I do my best with the English language.
And way down here at the bottom of the priorities is my opinion on love and romance. I am a hopeless romantic. I've had disappointments and failure with both love and romance. Never confuse lust with either of them. I should have used my pragmatic nature in the approach to love. I have invested heavily in some poor stocks where love is concerned. Honestly, read the prospectus before investing. Cut you losses early or you may find that investing is easily confused with gambling. In a gamble the odds are not ever in the player's favor.
There are many facets to love and many kinds of love. One only has so much of it to spread around. Just like money in the bank, one has only so much. Sometimes funds have to be pulled out of one account that is declining in value and placed into one with a higher yeild of return. Love may be an obligation but an obligation does not necessarily require love. Love must reciprocated in like kind, almost contractural. If one ceases love giving, love recieving will soon end. No one will love into another when there is no return, lest he find himself given out.
I happen to know that there is someone out there for me. There is a person who loves me in spite of my faults and oddball quirks. I'm not looking for them, they are on a quest to join me already. I will love and cherish this person and we will mutually give to each other all. That giving will fulfill both need and desire and we will be happy. It is thus because I said it is.
Here's my philosophy: It's great to talk to someone and learn a little about them. It's far greater to listen to them and learn all. When you talk to me, I not only hear you but I listen.

Who I'd like to meet:
Is this supposed to be where you put in some celeberty's name? Don't care to meet any specific person. I would like to meet people who are pleasant and interesting and who have something wothwhile to say. Some new friends would be good. Maybe that someone special. I thought I'd met her on three different occasions.
