This is the Spartan Pit. The training is extreme. It is painful. And at times seems crazy. But there are always results; if you put in the effort. We will provide you with the means, all you have to do is provide the discipline, determination and guts it takes to come back a second and third and forth time.
What is Agoge? The Agoge was a rigorous education and training regime undergone by all Spartan Warriors.
Agoge training is not for everyone. This is specifically for athletes. Period. So if you question weather you are one, this training is not for you. Agoge is for anyone who is tired of the “fast food” gyms you see everywhere. Agoge is not the traditional “bodybuilder” routine. Agoge is pain, constant pain and torture. Therefore we only train serious people. You don’t have to fight in a cage or compete in a fitness competition to train here. You just have to be serious about your health and fitness; and a little bit crazy.
Agoge is ideal for Mixed Martial Arts or any combat sports.
The Spartan Pit is not just a place where you show up, train and leave. It is a commitment; a commitment to yourself and your training partners. We train as a team. A day you don’t show weakens the group. Remember only serious people. Here you are a part of something. Every brother and sister puts in their time and earns the rank they receive. There are no free rides here, and you will be pushed further than you’ve ever been pushed before.
Agoge combines Olympic lifts with plyometrics, isometric exercises, and Mixed Martial Arts strength and conditioning to build functional fitness, an athletic physique. Agoge training will not get you big and muscular. You will get lean, fast and strong.
