| General | I love to read, and am currently writing a kid's/teen novel series, and a book about my experiences working on the oil rigs. I have two other novels that I am trying to research for. I love running - it's my sport of choice. I love anything to do with water - swimming, boating, and I wanna go scuba diving. I love camping under the stars and doing nature stuff. I'm a pretty good cook, so I do it when I have someone to cook for. I also LOVE to dance. It is something that I am very passionate about. I love various styles, partner or no. I don't get to do it often enough, but my legs itch when I hear good music.
.. | | Music | I mostly listen to Alternative. I love dancing to hip-hop and definitely techno. When I'm in the mood I catch myself on the country stations. Being a massage therapist I also listen to a lot of relaxing and soothing music. I love to sing, but I won't claim to be great.
 | | Movies | I love scary movies. I'll go see a chic flick, but it's usually someone else's idea. I also love action movies. I may not have kids, but I love "kid" movies anyway. | | Television | I must admit I'm a cartoon junkie. I love Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, Lilo and Stitch, Arthur. But at night, I hate to miss CSI or Law and Order. One of my new favorites is Fringe. I hate reality TV and I don't like to watch the news unless I have to. | | Books | There are times that I'm a book-worm. Ok, so it MOST of the time! I love mystery and suspense books. I do love the classics, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, anything by Edgar Allan Poe. Tale of Two Cities is one of my absolute favorites. I think Ayn Rand is amazing. Orson Scott Card and Stephen R. Donaldson are some of my other favorite authors. | | Heroes | I can't really say I have a hero. There are people I'm proud of, but not anyone whom I would idolize so highly as to call them a hero. Don't get me wrong. . . there are TONS of amazing people out there, but if I had to pick someone, it would be tough to find someone who signifies everything that I feel are characterisitcs that define a hero. |

About me:
Wow...lots to update. I have a NEW LAST NAME! Garrison and I got married on April 2, 2008. And just to pre-emptively dissipate that one question everyone asks as soon as a couple gets married... no we aren't having a baby, yet. We have our adorable, funny, cuddly spoiled little Pokey dog that is plenty to take care of! Married life is great and exhausting and funny and overwhelming and as I am often reminded by my husband - I am SOOO lucky! It is an adventure in and of itself and I am looking forward to the journey. With relationships I have had in the past, I always knew exactly what my life would be like with that particular person. With Garrison, everyday is a surprise! He is constantly exceeding my expectations and making me smile. I love him with all my heart!
I enjoy my job, which is more than 80% of the population can say! I am a massage therapist for a Chiropractor, and have a private practice as well. I get to help people feel better, and it is a fulfilling experience. I do miss the $$$ I made while working on an oil rig, but then I remember that I work in an air conditioned/heated office (depending on the weather) and no longer have to wear steel-toe boots or shower off mud and grease at the end of the work day. I love my family, and wish they didn't live so far away, or that I didn't live so far away.... I love my brothers and my sister and it is great to get us all together, as it is usually just a big laugh-fest. I have the greatest parents ever. I am always telling them that they should be foster parents, because it is not fair that only we got to be lucky enough to have them love us.
