Matthew S. Lindsay's Interests
|
| General |
- Collecting antiques and other type of
collectibles.
- Genealogy research.
- Camping & Fishing (fresh & salt water).
- Science fiction. For example: Star Trek, The
X-Files, Sliders, Quantum Leap and etc.
- Civil War and World War history.
- Music from the 50's, 60's, 70,s and some 80's.
Very little 90's. Mostly 70's music. I love mostly for
example: (Old) COUNTRY, EASY LISTENING, POP, LITE-ROCK, MOTOWN, (new) COUNTRY, ADULT ALTERNATIVE,
GOSPEL/CHRISTIAN
CONTEMPORARY
- Musicals (which surprised me) - Rodgers and Hammerstein,
Andrew Lloyd Webber.
I
went to the Golden Apple Dinner Theater in
Sarasota, FL. in Aug. of 1998 to see the “KING and I”. I was glad I went.
It was great to see live. The acting was really good and the music was
very enjoyable.
- The John and Mable Ringling Museum of
Art – I found to be an awesome experience. I’ve gone many times to study
the art there. It’s absolutely breathtaking. There is so much Christian
art there. I remember as a small boy looking through my Family Bible staring
at the illustrations/art work. I thought it was beautiful. To walk through
the museum I saw the real art that was in my Bible. I was just enthralled
or mesmerized by it.
- Sports, For example: golf (I just started),
baseball, bodybuilding, boxing, football, weight lifting and wrestling.
We've also been known to watch... and even attend professional wrestling
matches, off and on over the years (strictly for entertainment purposes). ;-)
- Bible
Study: Reading God's Word. Getting To Know My Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank
you, Jesus!!
e-Sword - the Sword of the LORD with an electronic
edge.
Download software at this site. e-Sword is a fast and effective way to
study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more
capabilities than you would expect in a free software package. The fact
that e-Sword is free is just one of the blessings and does not speak of
the quality of the software. I make my living writing software and I
believe I have put forth my best effort in this endeavor. The real work,
however, was put in by the godly men and women who devoted countless years
creating the texts that have been made available for our benefit.
In His service,
Rick Meyers
