Movies

Television
Commercial television is so fucking banal these days there's just nothing on there to keep my interest, except football, and every game is delayed by 13 hours there. ABC and SBS are the only thang going {yes, I'm turning into my father).
Jane and I are working our way through The West Wing on DVD. Political porn, someone described it. Absolutely; but it's classy stuff nonetheless.
Six Feet Under. My bestest, most favourite TV series EVER EVER EVER Stacey! I love everything about this. The characters, the quirkiness, the crazy crazy twists and turns. The final episode. Nate (oh, Natey Natey Nate - beautiful man). I have bought the entire series on DVD and every now and then get an urge to watch an episode. It's gonna be a stayer, I think.
Love My Way - wonderful Australian television.
Books
Rule my life. I tend to be reading about 25 at once. It's ridiculous, and my inner Puritan says that I should finish one before I start another, little girl. But I can't help it. I open a new book, snap it's little spine, and I'm off. "I'll just have a quick look at the first few pages," I say, but then by the time I've read the second chapter I figure I may as well shove a bookmark in it and add it to the tottering pile by the bedside table, or on the wall unit, or on the coffee table. (Piles of books that are being read are not allowed in the bookcase; it's the rules).
Heroes
Yeah, it's good, but the David Bowie version is still better than the Wallflowers, I think. This is one of those songs that I love when it starts, but by the time it hits the halfway mark I get bored with it.
I think probably 98% of covers aren't as good as their originals. Exceptions to that would be Always on my Mind by the Pet Shop Boys; I think that's equally as good as ol' Gyro Hips' version.

Who I'd like to meet: Sheesh, I always feel such pressure with these things, that I'll miss someone really important, and wake up at 3am remembering that I need to add Dave Grohl, or whatever. (I think it's just the obsessive compulsive part of me coming out).
Jesus. CS Lewis. Dave Grohl. George Macdonald. Frank Woodley (he's so damn cute! she gushed). Adam Hills, Bono, Origen.
Everyone who's gone ..: Alex Fair. Dawn Fair. Edna Brehaut. Ernest Brehaut. Stella Stevenson. Shirl Mills. Bob Mills. Daryl Jones. (Gee, I know quite a few dead people, don't I!!!) Mr Lovely and Nooz.
I have felt that way for six months, hun! I think Eric is starting to feel a little helpless about it, lol.
Other than that, physically, I feel "eh." My atlas bone likes to not stay where it is supposed to, which gives me raging headaches that make me want to rip my fucking head off. Other than that, I feel much better! hahaha
Hey baby -- it was a high of 60 yesterday with zero humidity, so it's cool. Better than the 86 with 100% humidity where I was! It's freezing at night here, but the days are nice. I like winter :D
I'm tired, still recovering from vacation. What's up down where you are?
this is Una http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=50049470
She's as gorgeous as her song too. I found her by accident when I was looking for something else :) So much great undiscovered talent out there in My Space land. (some complete shite as well ;))
Hey there Sue!!!! Just as our days are getting much shorter, and the leaves are turning, snow appearing on the hight peaks..... you are heading into summer down there. How strange is THAT!?
I thought I'd say "hi" while the painkillers are kickin' in. Actually, I've been feeling a bit better. Physical therapy is friggin' torture, but I can move now, so that's a definite improvement...LOL!
Glad to hear you are another Monty Python fan. I also included the Philosopher's drinking song, which came from a hilarious Australian skit.
Sorry I've been so quiet lately, I had to get a new computer (the old one died) and I've been sick as a dog. I am also going through a time where not only is God being silent, but I can't feel Him either, I hate that.
Oh my goodness, we live far away. It would take me less time to fly to you than to drive to see her! It's 1800 miles, or like a 27 hour drive! We haven't met :(
here we call that rugby...and it's on at 3 am, so I have to record it if I want to see it, lol.
Get thee to a doctor, woman! I gotta go to one, too - as soon as I can find one that will take my insurance. I hate American medicine. Best in the world...so long as you can find a doctor who is (a) taking new patients, or (b) will take your insurance.
Fuckin' Hillary Clinton and her healthcare plan in the '90s - damn politicians.
That's American Football, love. Not at all like European football or Aussie rules...over here, we wear 900 pounds of padding so the pretty boys don't get hurt, lol!
