Summer Dregs is the result of Carl Cadwell collaborating with musicians of greater talent to make better music than any of us could alone. On From Gold to Green it manifests itself as delicious, dark, semi-sweet electro-pop.
Summer Dregs is summer music. It is those moments of contentment where you can see nothing stretching indefinitely ahead just waiting to be filled with anything imaginable.
From Gold to Green signifies a maturing into contentment. It is a movement towards a focus on the subtle joy and struggles in where we are everyday now.
From Gold to Green is Chattanooga music. It is a project by people from Chattanooga, a city whose art and artists are deeply interconnected. The project is a physical manifestation of this particular community, a manifestation which I hope invites deeper investigation into what we have to offer.
