    As hip hop continues to evolve, along with it comes growth and diversity. Over the years, we’ve seen ups and downs in this music, but one of the definite positives has been the contributions from different cultures. Artists from all different social and racial backgrounds have broken the hip hop stereotype and re-defined what it is. One artist contributing to the diversification is rising star, J Krunk. His Mexican heritage is what he carries with him in his daily journey through hip hop, and combined with his strong musical talents, he is sure to stand out of the crowd. Hailing from San Antonio, TX, J Krunk is a street-bred artist who makes music that reflects his life and environment. He was born into the street life, but at the same time managed to fulfill his other talents that kept him out of trouble at a young age. Once he entered high school, he lost focus and began indulging in troublesome activity, but through it all, hip hop was his release from the daily life stresses. J Krunk later began putting more energy into the one thing that always served as an outlet from the negativity surrounding him: rap. He discovered his passionate talent, and as soon as he was granted the opportunity to touch a microphone, he began rapping in 2007. With influences such as Jay-Z and Eminem, it’s clear that he strives for greatness. As he musically came into his own, he naturally created lyrics that were a reflection of his life. Unlike most rappers, he embraces the gangsta rap style because it’s relatable and most familiar. While music consumes most of his daily activities, he is also a dedicated, family-oriented man who enjoys spending quality time with his wife and child. J Krunk possesses an impeccable work ethic. He and his partners at Sunset Entertainment spend hours upon hours in the studio producing music and improving his sound. In just a few short years, he’s developed a strong music catalog and worked with several notable artists, including Bizzy Bone, Qualified, C. Stone, Kyle Lee (3rd Degree), and many more. His grind is consistent, as he spends the majority of his time writing and recording music, perfecting his craft. His music has spread like wildfire, and as a result he has booked performances on a weekly basis. His hard work and lyrical talent will carry him to the next level because true talent can never be denied. Currently, J Krunk is prepping his first solo album titled, “The Application”. Expect to hear passionate lyrics that exude a sense of reality. He’s ready to exceed all expectations and possesses the tools needed to do so. His talent, along with dyamic work ethic is the combination that will make him a force to be reckoned with. “My ultimate goal is to be respectfully established, and one of the world’s greatest rappers.
