The Atlantic Paranormal Society, New England's very own Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi Channel, are taking the paranormal to a new dimension in a community near you.

It started in June 2005 when TAPS founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, along with fellow television star and New England Paranormal (NEP) founder Steve Gonsalves, launched TAPS PARAMAGAZINE. It is a glossy publication dedicated to the paranormal, the unknown and things in-between.

The magazine, which is available through-out Southern New England on newsstands and nationwide via SUBSCRIPTION, features candid behind the scenes snapshots and stories from the wildly popular Ghost Hunters television series. But this is no fanzine.

The magazine features freelancing newspaper reporters writing about issues or aspects of the paranormal. It transcends the show offering investigations, advice and niche columns such as a spirituality almanac, a Tarot card horoscope, a look at paranormal news items from across the world and even history. From big foot to three ton (yes ton) freshwater fish in China, it utilizes a cast network of paranormal enthusiasts to compile a bi-monthly collection of stories which has helped the magazine fill a market niche that remains unexplored .

"Paranormal is a science in its infancy and we believe this magazine explores and fosters this science in a way that few publications have been able to do in the past," said Grant Wilson. "It goes beyond ghosts and really reflects a broad view of the paranormal. You can't help but learn something new every issue."

"We are very excited about the magazine," said Steve Gonsalves . "We hope to redefine how people perceive this field.

We are cataloging the stories of people and places and putting together a publication of record for things that science can not explain yet. In some cases we prove through science and journalism that some things can be explained."

"It is an extension of the work of TAPS and the incredible quest for knowledge that so many people have after they have had a paranormal experience," adds Hawes. TAPS is based out of Rhode Island with members from across New England and North America.

The magazine takes a hard look at paranormal stories from communities all across the nation with a special focus on New England. Already dozens of communities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maine have been featured- or at least their legends have been. From Lizzie Borden to the alleged Little People of the North East documented by the Iroquois Indians, the magazine is taking a fresh look at things people talk about but not always in public.

"Recent polls and surveys have shown that many American believe in the paranormal," adds Gonsalves. "We think the magazine fills a need. There remains much that is unknown and we are all driven by our desire to answer some questions. The magazine is a way of finding some answers and learning new things along the way."

Sweetwords are easy to say, Sweet things are easy 2 buy, But sweet people are difficult to find Life ends when U stop dreaming, Hope ends when U stop believing, Love ends when U stop caring, Friendship ends when U stop sharing. So share this with whom ever U consider a friend. To love without condition, To talk without intention, To give without reason, And to care without expectation is the heart of a true friend... Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. Mary...xoxo..
