TELEVANDALS - THE MERCH
DEFACE YOUR MYSPACE
ABOUT TELEVANDALS
"Like a lightning storm in a Korg factory, Televandals runs the Clash through the electronic grinder, perpetually building its Satistact-ian cause as a dent in Boston’s ever-exploding rock scene."
- Michael Marotta (The Pill, The Boston Herald)
"It is a rare occasion for me these days, having seen so many shows over the years, to feel "blown away" by any band but it happened (with Televandals)."
- Mick Murray (SPINearth)
It was always about more than making music – it was about eliminating the status quo, altering attitudes and ending the apathy of a generation. And after our accomplishments this past year we returned to the studio and are now nearing completion on our debut full-length album.
The inspiration was to create music that forces you to think, touches your soul and makes you want to dance like hell. In this world of soulless pop and cliché genres, no idea is too radical and no sound is off limits to us. We may have been inspired by everything from old school punk to synth-driven electro and 80s British dark-wave, but we aspire to an epic, edgy, hypnotic and apocalyptic sound that thwarts the concept of genre. And with that, our music incorporates a social insurgency with politically charged lyrics that confront societal inequities and demand that listeners think for themselves.
In the end, it's about believing you can rise above disillusionment and despair to truly make a difference with your life. And if you feel a sense of grandeur, hope, inspiration, or even immortality from something that we've done, then we have succeeded. This is music for the apocalypse, or to prevent it. We are Televandals.
INTRIGUING LITTLE APPLICATIONS THAT BLINK AND TRACK YOU
Hello Faithful
followers!! Sorry for the
disappearing act. Maggie cracked her head open during a basement show, so we’ve
been out(no pun intended) for awhile. She is almost better so when that happens
we’ll be back in the recording studio. In the meantime, we did manage to
convince our buddies at myspace.com/onryeproductions to let us do the video
game SFX that are on their newest episode.
If you are interested
in having a song or songs of yours featured in future episodes please send mp3s
to onryecontact@gmail.com
