THE SPOKEN WORD ZONE
The FreeStyle Movement is a youth and art divison of BLCE that gives an outlet for young adults with Poetry infused with Music.
Mission Statement: To provide a series of venues that stimulates creativity which is healthy and positive for young adults in Southern Maryland through the art of spoken word, live music and media.
Goal: To find venues to support local artists
Founders Nafisa Adeeb and Mary Williams, both artists, established The FreeStyle Movement in January 2006 to start a poetry movement in Southern Maryland. BLCE was looking to bring in more youth as a part of the Celebrations Festivals. The FreeStyle Movement started as a poetry group and grew into coalition, which supports all genres of music and the art of the spoken word. We have contributed to many performances awarness concerts in Southern Maryland, such as BET Rap-IT-UP Campaign and were featured by Washington Post and the Maryland Independent Newspapers.
Who I'd like to meet: OPEN-MINDED PEOPLE WHO SPENT TIME GIVING BACK TO THERE COMMUNITY. ARTIST SPEND TIME WORKING WITH YOUTH. SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENUERS WHO UNDERSTAND COMMUNITY NETWORKING AND BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY EFFORTS.

Pimp assed page girl I was digging it whats been up? I'm working up at Hard Rock cafe in DC now it's got a lot of good points and quite a few not so good points. I'll tty about it sometime. I changed majors again and I'm going for my four year in Emergency Management I'm only part-time though but it's pretty interesting a hell of a lot of reading though I'm so glad I only took two classes. Outta sight and outta mind, perhaps... Like the times when opportunity lacks. Just a victim of perception, despite the facts. As moments lapse these raps fade to the back of the mind. For in retrospect, it was just a rhyme. But for this moment of time, every word is my Mind, Body and Soul combined and not some transparent design. Never the less, we find... REASONS to nevermind. So indeed, I'm... Mario Vazquez, escaping from alcatraz no longer condemned for the gallery I used to have. But apparantly still a victim of the past, so although I'm FREE at last the epiphany is gone in a flash. And with Rihanna gone, and no umbrella I'm sad. Or like blind fury, mad. For all I have, is this hustle, and at times it's hardly worth the trouble. For all monuments crumble... So time is the only matter, this why I appreciate our moments of laughter. both before and after, we never meet the reality is mine to keep.
