The Jade was founded in the summer of 2004 in the Eastern Helsinki to feed the members' number one desire -music.
In the same year the independent Heatwave EP was recorded. After various gigs the following release, Slow Motions on the Fast Lanes (independent), saw daylight in the end of 2006 and achieved good reception also internationally.
The sound of The Jade is durable and up-to-date.
It’s aggressive yet subtle; it’s as catchy and groovy as it’s melodic. Contrasting and unique, it’s packed with igniting energy and depth.
Band signed a record deal in 2008. Noteworthy German tours followed in April and October, the latter included a show in Switzerland also. Also two previous singles from Seconds Away From Salvation album already made their way to the official TOP 10 Charts. First official release, single 'Drowning' reached 9. Second release entered the charts being no. 4 and stayed on the single charts for the 5 consecutive weeks. Without a doubt: It’s a sin.
