The Fly:'Strike Sparks Anywhere' combines catchy riffs and clever dynamics with electro-rock undertones echoing an early Primal Scream. This Is Radio Freedom have created a furiously paced, anthemic rock record."
Beatmag:"Big British rock with poppy tunes and the right references. Their name is not Levellers-style arch earnestness but, instead, comes from the intro to the KLF’s ‘3AM Eternal’, and the EP’s title song derives from Hunter S Thompson. The KLF! And Hunter S Thompson! Rubbing those names together I’d be butter in your hands if you sounded like Bryan Adams but happily TIRF don’t, although they may have stadium-sized horizons. Veering far from basic indie – and with a remix from Dan Le Sac - they bulk out with big electronic production, occasionally recalling long lost Manc shoulda-beens The Chamelions. Go on, guys, kick U2’s arse and conquer America, and let’s have a huge Brit band that’s also actually quite good for a change."
Allgigs:"A real gem... classic song writing, delivered so very well. Reverberating guitars and synthesis... a real anthem in the making. I cant wait to see it played live. Strong, powerful and inspiring."
Altsounds:""They endeavour to be that little bit more political, to make a little bit more of a statement than your average indie group, and if you like your music rife with restlessness and encrypted with all sorts of hidden meaning then you're gonna fall on your knees fast for "Strike Sparks Anywhere". Gorgeously gated beats and fashionable clanging guitar soundscapes... This is Radio Freedom have the balls to make a big deal of every musical idea and exude enough confidence to do their own thing without conforming to any underground-scene stereotypes."
