HISTORY OF HOW "TEAM SANJAYA" MYSPACE PAGE CAME INTO BEING AND THE PART IT PLAYED IN COMBATING AGAINST THE EARLIEST ASSAULTS AGAINST SANJAYA IN MARCH OF 2007.
First of all, I AM NOT SANJAYA, a family member, employee, nor anyone like that - just a big fan among many, and I just operate this support.
On March 19 2007, Howard Stern announced that he was launching a campaign with his listeners to vote for Malakar to win the competition. Some Stern regulars, such as Jeff The Drunk, have claimed to have voted for Malakar at least 300 times -- largely in hopes of tormenting Wack Pack member and American Idol traditionalist Eric the Midget. The weblog Vote for the Worst has Malakar as its current "pick" for the sixth season top 12 after previous candidates Antonella Barba and Sundance Head were eliminated.
A few American Idol fans who use MySpace have claimed to be on hunger strikes until he is voted off. Members of Myspace who liked Sanjaya fired back by creating a page entitled "TEAM SANJAYA" in support for Sanjaya.
Then, conversely, a 13-year-old girl was highlighted repeatedly during Malakar's performance in the Top 11 episode, crying tears of joy, although she had also cried for Melinda Doolittle and many other contestants. The controversy and fan reaction were satirized on the March 24, 2007 broadcast of Saturday Night Live, during the Weekend Update segment. Malakar was portrayed by Andy Samberg, and the crying girl was portrayed by Kristin Wiig. Also feigning tears in the audience were Fred Armisen and Dan Aykroyd. Zach Braff said "Vote for Sanjaya" before a preview of his next film, The Ex.
Team Sanjaya's membership continued to grow during those difficult days as people who liked Sanjaya decided to make a public display of their support for him. In so doing, they were able to offset much negativity, as they boldly stood up against what looked like insurmountable forces. Sanjaya was not the cause nor the original target in the mounting attacks. He was ultimately dragged into a personal battle that he had absolutely nothing to do with and then used as a pawn on a chest board.
We realize the majority of Team Sanjaya's friends here are not falling hopelessly all over themselves in love with Sanjaya, but the vast majority of you do recognize his talent, appreciate his tenacity, and believe in his inevitable success.
Because this site is so large and I don't have much free time right now, I won't be able to to answer private messages but will try to keep you updated on what is going on with Sanjaya and Shayamali, as soon as I learn.
Thank you, one and all for your support!

BIOGRAPHY OF SANJAYA MALAKAR
Some have argued that Sanjaya's 15 minutes is up but it is obvious this is not true. In reality, it looks like is is here to stay.
As of recent, Sanjaya has published a new book called "Dancing to the Music in My Head" and produced an EP with some of his new songs. (See this page above for links to more information.) Now this brings us today - Sanjaya will be performing on the crazy NBC show, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" beginning on June 1st 2009 in a 2 hour premiere. Sounds like this is going to be another exciting adventure for our young man.
The son of a classical Indian musician, Sanjaya Joseph Malakar, born September 10, 1989 in Federal Way, Washington, gained attention for competing in the sixth season of the hit reality TV show American Idol, making it to seventh place. Sanjaya’s parents, Vasudeva Malakar, his Bengali Indian father who emigrated to the States as a Hare Krishna pujari, and Jillian Recchi Blyth, his Italian American mother, divorced when Sanjaya was still young, having been separated a year prior to the divorce. Sanjaya, and his older sister Shyamali, lived with their mother in a small apartment, where they had very little money coming in, relying on welfare.
Besides living in the greater Seattle area, Sanjaya also lived in California and Kauai, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he performed with Hawaii Children’s Theatre group, and also was a part of Total Experience Gospel Choir while in Seattle.
Sanjaya attended high school for a short period of time, but dropped out in order to focus on his music career, earning a GED. Sanjaya auditioned for American Idol on September 19, 2006 right after his sister. The judges all agreed that they liked Sanjaya more than Shyamali. Both made it to the Hollywood auditions, but only Sanjaya went on from there. But after making it as a finalist, Sanjaya started receiving some criticism from the judges, mostly by Simon Cowell.
When it came to the public’s reaction, Sanjaya became the type of person someone either loves or hates. While he gained a lot of fans, he also got a lot of backlash. One Idol fan on the website MySpace started going on a hunger strike until he was voted off, but had to end it for his longer than expected stay.
Sanjaya also became the target of Howard Stern’s Internet campaign “Vote For The Worst” in mid-March 2007. It urged people to vote for Sanjaya to win so the show could get canceled if the least talented contestant won. A month later, Sanjaya’s reign on American Idol ended, and the show’s ratings dropped 9% the following week, due to his departure.
But American Idol was not the last people saw of Sanjaya. The day after, continuing into the following week, Sanjaya made guest appearances on many popular talk shows, including The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Today Show.
Sanjaya became what could be called the most popular contestant of the season, even with his run over. But the end of the show did not mark the end of his career in music. Sanjaya planned to use American Idol as a stepping stone to his career in show business, with plans to work in all that it had to offer: singing, acting, modeling, and anything else that could come up.
He got offers from Nickelodeon and Disney but Sanjaya said he hoped to work in music with his sister in the future, first focusing on a solo career. He also plans to attend Berklee College of Music.
Sanjaya went from becoming another contestant on American Idol to one of the MOST POPULAR and talked about people of today.

Give a King a Kings burial! Please someone agree with me that Micheal Jackson should be buried in a "Sarcophagus" not a coffin!!! Then Buried in a heavily guarded/reinforced glass tomb in his Las Vegas Hotel, to be view by his millions of fans world wide! After all He was the "Pharoah" of the Entertainment Industry.
Also.. "THE SHOW MUST GO ON" ! Micheal said " THIS IS IT " But don't bring the curtain down too soon! What better way to celebrate his life than to continue with the tour as he planned, as he rehearsed it, just Add the Jacksons to the bill along with Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and NEYO, in Micheals stead! This would be AWESOME, and I believe the Fans would be appeased! Please forward this to as many people as you can so that this Idea will reach someone who can make this happen! Of course...there's not a lot of time.
