TERRY GILLESPIE, one of the founding fathers of Canada s blues music and reggae scenes, draws the crowd to every setting or occasion. From sophisticated trio to stomping full band; from the Montreal Jazz Festival to small parties. A raw and sexy performer, he is both charismatic and soulful. His guitar is tasteful, his vocals beautifully phrased and he is backed by an energy of sound that pulls people off their chairs and onto the dance floor.
Terry delivers a unique package of performances that is absolutely without pretense in different but related genres. He has united with very accomplished veterans of the music world, seasoned, masterful, accomplished in their own right to create two unique bands. Terry and his fellow musicians leave audiences chanting for more.
THE GRANARY BLUES BAND is the ultimate collaboration of Eastern Canadian bluesmen. Since their inception five years ago, they have thrilled audiences wherever theyve performed. The bands rare blend of original material and reinvigorated classics was a hit at the 2002 Montreal International Jazz Festival and led to a second appearance on the Labatts Blue stage in 2004! The Gazette in Montreal selected the band as its Pick of the Day, calling The Granary Blues Bands gig the most interesting free show. www.granaryblues.com, Righteous Blues seeded with a hint of R&B .
